About the restaurant El Túnel d'en Marc Palou

"This delicate and authentic restaurant is located in l'Eixample neighborhood in Barcelona. El Túnel d'en Marc Palou has a unique style which is characterized by a sober elegance without detracting from warmth and closeness, in its friendliness and service. Its spaces, arranged over three floors, include a lovely wine cellar.

Its cuisine, by the hand of chef Marc Palou, offers a true gastronomic experience based on the finest ingredients and careful preparation. Among the suggestions you find squid calamari with cherry tomatoes, tender garlic and romesco; and the lacquered baby goat baked with potato mille-feuille.

El Túnel d'en Marc Palou provides the ideal setting for celebrations that require more or less privacy, both because of the space available and their excellent service, which will make your stay an unforgettable experience."

Very nice set menu for lunch. The menu was only in Spanish, but the server was very good at translating those items I didn't know. I would definitely return if I were back in Barcelona.

This place is awesome! Delicious, Nice atmosphere, pricey!!!!! I was in Spain and Portugal for two weeks, and this restaurant was the best. A cheese risotto(I don't know a name of it)was the best risotto that I had had in my whole life. It's little salty, but saltiness goes great with taste of cheese.

It was our first visit to a restaurant in Barcelona and it already gave us a reason to love this city! Due to our schedule, we had to choose the express lunch menu (16 euros) but this very simple 3 course menu from starter, main to dessert was perfect to meet our expectations: fresh salad, very well marinated and cooked duck dish and a fabulous lemon sorbet! We also want to thank the gentleman who served us with great enthusiasm! Willing to visit again!

The food was delicious. Very kind reception and attention by the team. The place is beautiful and sophisticated, well located. We'll definitely go back there. I had the Coca with goat cheese and the Merluza with vegetables.

El Tunel d'en Marc Palou is located slightly out of the center. The owner told us that their clients are usually from the neighborhood so they do not have a menu in English. However he kindly translated the items that we did not understand. The setting is elegant and so was the service. The food was delicious and was well-prepared. We reserved for 9 pm, the earliest time the restaurant took. We were the only patrons until about 9:20 when couples and groups continued to steadily come in. By the time we left at about 10:30 the restaurant appeared to be full with lively diners. Many seemed to know the staff well. We totally enjoyed our dinner and would recommend the restaurant to others.

Neighborhood restaurant with solid cuisine. Excellent service, very attentive. The food was decent. The lamb shank was so tender that it was falling off the bone, but it was excessively salty. In general, everything was well done but with too much salt.
