About the restaurant Etapes

"Located in the modernist Enrique Granados Street, Etapes gastronomic restaurant is located. Its amenities elegantly combine wood, glass and iron, which creates an especially cozy atmosphere.

Its cuisine stands out for the use of fresh market produce resulting in the most representative recipes of the Mediterranean traditional cuisine such as canelón de rustido, foie gras, truffle and cream cheese, salted foie mi-cuit, or lacquered shank of lamb (slow cooked for 18 hours) without forgetting their rice dishes and fresh fish. The homemade desserts and selected wine list deserve special mention.

With a private lounge and a quiet terrace, this restaurant is the ideal space for special celebrations. The quality of its cuisine and service and the pleasant atmosphere that one breathes make Etapes the perfect choice."

Perfect dining experience. Scallops and duck ravioli starters were amazing. Fish of the day perfectly prepared. Loved the tiramasou. Not to be missed. Price extremely reasonable for the meal.

Service here was good especially because they were understaffed according to our server. Food was good, not great. Location was interesting because off the beaten path for tourists...near the university...not a far walk though.

Excellent meal for a special birthday for my Partner. Everything was just perfect, the staff were excellent and in a very good quieter area of Barcelona. We loved it so much we returned later in the week for our last meal before returning home. Definitely recommended.

The food was wonderful and imaginative. The presentation was thoughtful without being fussy. We had the tasting menu and the choices were all wonderfully prepared. A complimentary mango gazpacho was well balanced and the flavors were all identifiable individually and as a complete flavor.

The food was very tasty and well presented. I would get jealous looking at other guest's dishes! The service was very attentive and friendly. The tasting menu is perfectly portioned and very well priced.

My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience at this very nice restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great....very cordial and helpful....especially with a selection of an appropriate wine. We will eat here every time we visit Barcelona in the future, which is two or three times a year. Give it a try....you won't be disappointed...but be sure to have a reservation!!!

We arrived early in this small restaurant with fairly plain decor. The greeting was friendly and casual making us feel at home. The food was all first class - no complaints. The restaurant quickly filled to capacity and the atmosphere was great. The service throughout was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Would not hesitate to go back but not a must.

Amazing experience. This restaurant is family run and it shows. The food is perfect and care is taken to ensure this. The service was outstanding. Shout out to Nadia for making our dining experience top notch. We highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Barcelona. Everything was prefect and they brought us a perfect rosé that was spectacular. Muchas gracias for todo.

We had the Menu of the Day at Etapes and thought it was nice. The entrees were good and mains were great but the dessert was quite small and nothing to get excited about. The service was excellent and staff were friendly which was nice - overall a nice lunch out.

The restaurant is on a quaint street just across the University of Barcelona. It's a small, cozy place.

For starters, the restaurant gave complimentary beet gaspacho. And then we ordered a burger and grilled fish for the children (which were not on the menu), and pan con tomate, mushrooms and tomato salad, tuna tataki, scallops & Iberian pork belly confit, fish of the day with saffron aioli and clams, black Angus Nebraska steak and suckling pig.

What we liked were the mushrooms and tomato salad, tuna tataki, scallops & Iberian pork belly. The rest were just average; the grilled fish and fish of the day in particular were lacking in flavour.

The service at the restaurant was excellent and the people were very nice and accommodating; that somehow made up for the lackluster gastronomic experience.

This restaurant is phenomenal. The best meal we had in Barcelona. The paella is authentic and the duck ravioli was incredible. The decor is simple but the food is 5 star. The staff will assist you in making food and wine decisions without being snooty.
