About the restaurant 1 Place Vendôme - Hôtel de Vendôme

"SEASONAL CUISINE - in terms of restaurant, cuisine of seasonal produce, based on a careful selection of products of exceptional quality. Freshness and accuracy of cooking are the watchwords. A transitory menu that changes regularly according to the market and the seasons.

THE CHEF - Josselin Marie, born at Rennes, decides to become a cook after seeing a report on Bernard Loiseau and his team at the age of 14. His first appointment was at the restaurant Le Bas at Barbizon, where the pace is fast, then he worked alongside Marc Meneau, before becoming chef at 1 Place Vendôme.

FOR WHISKY LOVERS - in terms of the Bar, you will find a menu of cocktails made from seasonal fruit and fresh herbs. Whisky lovers will be delighted by an exceptional and exclusive selection of whiskies in France, Single Malt, Single Cask, from 'The Scotch Malt Whisky society'."

The meal and service was so nice. But the music was so annoying for eating. Respect the quality food and luxuary location classics music could be much better in year atomosphetr.

For the most part, we were happy with the quality of food and service. However, there was one major problem with our meal... My husband has a shellfish allergy. We worked with the concierge before our meal to be sure this would not be a problem. They revised the menu to accommodate, however, this information was not passed onto our serving staff. When we alerted the serving staff that my husband had an alternative menu laid out for him, the waiter acknowledged the request. The first dish was served, and one of the four items was shellfish! It really made us nervous that there was a large possibility that any other dish in the meal could contain shellfish and would send my husband to the hospital. Then for our fish course, they replaced his fish unnecessarily with something else, and noted "for the gentlemen who does not like fish..." Please note an allergy is not an issue of like or dislike. For a restaurant of this caliber, we expect the serving staff and chef to understand the difference.

Second time to have diner in this restaurant. I love the pigeons here more than any other place. Love the mood of this restaurant, very quite but not too serious, very easy to talk. And the distance between table to table is just perfect. Our waiter was funny, kind, and professional.

Starters were excellent. Main dish was good but lacked depth of flavor. Easter egg dessert was beautifully plated but the "pistachio bread" didn't impress. Service was wonderful, except for forgetting to apply the discount. Beautiful atmosphere but slightly worn. Overall good experience.
