Lovely food and staff. We had the food and wine pairing menu and they very kindly cooked excellent alternatives to the fish courses for my non fish loving husband.

Good restaurant had Portugal not being playing football that evening. All customers were served in the courtyard which is extremely nice. We subsequently realised this was so the staff could watch the football in the main restaurant. They were extremely noisy on occasions which took away some of the pleasure of the evening. The food on the whole was good, but there are numerous restaurants in Funchal offering better value for money. Strange the restaurant didn’t have a wine list. Waiter asked what we wanted and would give us a price. He subsequently came back to the table with the wine and told us the price. Very strange.arrangement. Price was ok but would have been difficult/embarrassing to say no. Won’t be rushing back.

We had a great evening. Very nice food, The sparkling, red and Madeira wine were delicious. The food was amazing. And the service and meeting with chef Nellio was the best!! See you tomorrow… greetz from Belgian clients!

Fantastic restaurant! Great service, food, attention to detail. The staff is amazing, location is cozy and the food a really 5* experience! Great combinations of flavors, wines and desserts! A great place to visit!

Shared the charcuterie and cheese board which came with a variety of breads. Before our meal was served we were brought the most delicious brown bread. To accompany our meal we chose a dry five-year-old Madeira. The pairing was just right. The desert of passionfruit soufflé was worth the 20 minute wait. Absolutely delicious. On a list of restaurants to revisit.

My steak was inedible & tough. First time I’ve been unable to eat something in years. I sent it back once; it was still tough. Asked for a steak knife as hadn’t been given one. It didn’t help. When I refused to pay, I was told I’d eaten half. I had chewed & spat out half & left half. They finally took it off the bill. Service, food & attitude was terrible.

The food had been really good, even if its not cheap, compared with other restaurants. The Patio is nice.. Unfortunately the service was ambitious for us: we wanted an aperitif, It wasńt understood. We asked for a wine menue , this was refused. It almost took 1 hour from the starter to the main course. We ordered two times a coffee (after the dishes) and waited more than half an hour for. Because it was forgotten two times. Only about 1/3 of all tables were occupied. Assumed the restaurant had been completely booked we should never got something to eat and drink.

Service was slow and apathetic. No wine list. Pepper grinder didn't work, asked for another, but it never appeared. Food was good, but didn't dare order a sweet, as it would probably have taken another hour.

This was disappointing. Booked in order to spend accumulated yums, not that many restaurants near our hotel accept them. Beautiful but quiet/silent courtyard setting. Food not so good, waiter described duck rice dish, sounded good but in fact too dry and chewy. Served with salad of lettuce leaves and a small amount of tomato only. Meat dish better but served with mashed potato almost the consistency of a sauce. Service very good when it came but sporadic, long gaps between. After another gap waiting to order dessert we were then informed it would be another fifteen minutes. That wouldn't have been a problem if there hadn't been so much waiting around throughout. We gave up and paid the bill
