2/10Whilst they advertise on The Fork that you can book a lunch the reality is it’s in the bar and not restaurant and a limited bar menu. Wastedjourney

2/10The website is unclear as to whether the restautrant serves lunch so i phoned to check and the person I spoke to confirmed that they do. On that basis, I booked a table for three - Wife, her sister and their mother. When they arrived, they were shown to the restaurant and then told that only afternoon tea was available. Hopeless.

8.5/10Lovely setting, helpful staff. Scones were freshly baked. More variety of savouries as well as bread used for sandwiches would have been good.

2/10So disappointed! Took my elderly mother in law as a treat after recently loosing her husband. On arrival the entrance steps covered in cigarette buts and litter. Waited for 40 minutes and was ignored by all staff so we left! Service was the worst ever. We literally sat with 3 empty tea cups for 40 minutes looking at a drunk man who was asleep with his head on the table fro a wedding the previous evening. Go somewhere else and don’t waste your money

8/10Had afternoon tea on Mother’s Day, and can confirm the restaurant is family friendly. We had a chatty 4 year old, and he’s given activity packet with colouring etc, so I do have a hour or so to myself. On the day we visit, great customer service, as the restaurant wasn’t too busy during lunch hour.

9/10The restaurant staff were efficient, polite, and attentive, but never overbearing. The chefs are well organised and delivered fantastic food, time and again throughout a very busy service.

10/10This was a special occasion for us and the location and ambience was really good. After tea and biscuits we had the full afternoon tea service which was really pleasant and service was good. A good touch was a free extra with a Happy birthday plate containing a further small cake and strawberries. A memorable occasion which we would repeat at a future time and really recommend. A slight improvement would be to give good instructions for finding the exact restaurant location within Latimer House from the car park.

6.5/10Unfortunately the bar area where we had the afternoon tea was understaffed, so the two that were on were totally rushed off their feet. The food was nice .

4/10The afternoon tea was very disappointing. The bread on the sandwiches was hard as if they had been made sometime before & not covered. The service was not good there was no one available to greet us on arrival. We had to go & ask for fresh tea & nobody asked us if we wanted more sandwiches. We had to ask for teaspoons to stir our tea. This was our 2nd visit for afternoon tea & the tea we had 4 years ago was much better. Very disappointing for my 91 year old mother who was treating her friend.

4.5/10We arrived assuming we had entered through the wrong door as there was no one about to greet us. We wondered around looking for someone to serve us only to be told to sit down while someone was found. We were then escorted to our filthy table (chair also covered in crumbs) despite many other tables available we were taken to the unclean one - not a good start. Two pots of tea and cups were brought to us without milk. By the time we had found someone to get us some milk the tea wasn't very hot and thoroughly stewed. When the afternoon tea arrived we were surprised it was for both of us - very small portion for two people considering the price. No one came over to ask us if we were happy or needed anything. I looked around for someone to serve us some fresh tea. Again, no milk was brought with the teapots. The servers were pleasant but no where to be seen - not attentive at all. Floor around table, the table itself and the general feel was dirty. Although we enjoyed our catch up, I felt it wasn't particularly special for my friend who I had brought here as a surprise birthday treat. It was disappointing to say the least.

10/10Lovely menu, lots of choice. Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice location. We had a great time, it was really good value for money. We will return.
