Took my mum for a birthday lunch. Staff very polite and attentive. Food great, lovely atmosphere, jazz music just right volume. No rush to finish. Perfect access for wheelchair user in our group and plenty of space. We had a lovely time

There was 6 of us for afternoon tea. The food was lovely, although there were different sweet selections across the 5 regular teas (one was gluten free). Once served there was no interaction from the waiting staff at all and we had to try and get their attention for the bill and thereafter had to get their attention again in order to pay. It was relatively quiet and the waiting staff were chatting amongst themselves a lot so there should be no reason for a poor service level.

We had afternoon tea, everything was splendid, food, service and ambience couldn’t be bettered. Staff very attentive with extra pot of tea and ‘doggy box’ as we couldn’t manage all the lovely food! My wife will be booking again for her book club tea.

Food was nice, staff polite and attentive. But dissapointed service charge of £15 was added to the bill, only realised after we left, which was wrong for a party of 4, didn't feel this was just given the cost of what we'd spent already.

Thankyou for your feedback. As with most restaurants and hotels now a service charge is added to the bill, which is displayed on the menu. all service charge goes to the team however if you are unhappy with the service you can ask for this to be removed. I hope we can see you back again.

This reservation was made at least two weeks in advance, but when we arrived (for a birthday celebration), we were eventually acknowledged by a member of staff and told the restaurant was closed, but we could eat in the bar! The waitress was helpful to a point in advising what was on the menu and sorting out the seating (difficult to eat from an armchair and a small bar table)! I did not receive an advice in advance regarding the situation and at no time did a manager appear to offer an apology, just left the poor waitress to try and solve. That In my opinion is poor management, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I was offered a 15% reduction on the cost of the so called meal, which I accepted, but advised I would be taking my complaint to management, which I am in the process of doing now.

Our starters we both very good my husband had the salmon and I had the moules. My husband had the 10 oz steak which he said was good it was served with basic oven fries and a couple of leafs, presentation was not great. I had the duck which had been so over cooked it was served with so much sesame oil dressing it was over powering, I did not eat it. We complained and were given 10% off our bill. Needless to say we did not opt for a desert and would not be in a rush to book again any time soon.

Upon arrival we were shown to our table promptly. But then they had to adjust our table position after we had sat down to accommodate space for service. The table was'wobbly' and after we asked about it we were just advised it was the table! The restaurant was quite dark and the menu hard to read in the available light. However the waitresses/waiters were very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us time to decide. Happy to give us more time. The food, and let's be honest that's why we were in a restaurant, was very good as was the wine. Service was timed just perfectly, not to fast but not to slow.

This was a special treat for a friend who was 70 and was very disappointing the sandwiches were mediocre the cakes dry but scones were nice. We were not offered a second drink which is usually standard for afternoon tea. Although there seemed to be plenty of staff service was sadly lacking we tried three times to get attention when requesting our bill. Sadly it was the first and last time we will,come to the Brooklands hotel.

Lovely afternoon tea! Never been to this hotel before and would definitely come back here and to even stay over night! Had a brilliant day out. We really enjoyed it and the food was lovely!

We were staying at Brooklands hotel so chose to eat here. The restaurant is modern and elegant with a nice warm atmosphere. The food was great and service attentive. Very impressed.

Had afternoon tea - good value , well presented, in a very relaxed atmosphere. Very Good , friendly and responsive service. Unless local to the area, 1907 at Brooklands hotel may not be easy to find. Need a satnav.

Met with two friends for afternoon tea and enjoyed it a lot. The service was excellent, attentive but not overwhelming. Too many cakes but we were given a doggy bag to take the surplus over so nothing was wasted. Excellent value for money.

The waitress's where pleasent and kind, the food was nice but really dissapointed that i paid for the carpark £7.50 and when i arrived i was informed it wae free when i explained to the lady who showed us to the table what had happened she said 'sorry nothing i can do' and walked off. I found this really dampened my experiance and was a real shame. I wont be returning again.

I am sorry you were disappointed. Our car park is managed by a third party company however we have negotiated special rates for overnight and guests dining in our restaurant. The signage and pay terminals explains that you get 3 hours free when using 1907 and you just need to register your car at reception. I am sorry that this was not clear to you. Unfortunately once you have paid we are unable to do anything as this is then controlled by parking eye. I am sorry this spoilt your visit however i hope you may come again sometime in the future.

Ate here on business. They have a marquee to accommodate the outdoor dining stipulations. It was a great ambiance and there were heaters in the marquee. Great to be out again!

Very nice food and service was fine. But ... ..... it was outdoor eating and absolutely freezing. They need to get a decent gas heaters as there is no direct sunshine onto the outdoor earing area.

Mediocre food and even more mediocre service. I suggest that the quality of the cuts of steak can be improved immensely and the staff can be trained to be more attentive. I do not expect to have to have my hand up and look around to get the attention of a server multiple times during the course of dinner or to pour my own bubbly.
