Il quartiere San Lorenzo è probabilmente il primo che ho frequentato assiduamente quando mi sono trasferito a Roma: movimentato, pieno di studenti universitari e soprattutto di locali di ogni tipo, dai ristoranti alle pizzerie, dai pub alle enoteche. Un luogo che offre tante differenti offerte enogastronomiche, e tra queste si colloca “1990 Accademia del Gusto”, ambiente molto raffinato, elegante e moderno, nel quale salta subito all'occhio la grande cura per quel che concerne l’arredamento.

Il Cafè Bistrot offre la possibilità di prendere un caffè, mangiare una fetta di torta o un cocktail. Ma il cuore del locale è costituito dalla cucina e dalle sue proposte: ricette mediterranee come punto di partenza, per un menu che annovera piatti come il “Polpo grigliato, zucca al forno crema di spinaci e riso integrale”, i “Ravioli fatti in casa ripieni di cozze, crema di castagne e porri croccanti”, la “Coscia di pollo cotta a bassa temperatura ripiena di salsicce, castagne e cavolo riccio con spinaci e crema di ceci aromatizzata alla menta” e tra i dessert “Apple crumble con gelato”. Birre artigianali, cocktail ed una ricca carta dei vini completano l’ampia possibilità di scelta per i clienti.

RAFFINATEZZA - A pochi passi dall’Università Sapienza di Roma e dalla Stazione Termini, si trova il Ristorante 1990 Accademia del Gusto. Un ambiente di charme, moderno ed elegante allo stesso tempo, dove nell’arredamento niente è lasciato al caso.

LA CUCINA - Il locale propone un menù molto vario, ricco di piatti di qualità, preparati seguendo le ricette mediterranee e rivisitandole con innovazione. Molta attenzione viene riservata anche all’impiattamento delle portate stesse. Da provare il tagliere di salumi e formaggi, servito con marmellatine, la vellutata di zucca e cipolla dolce e l’arancino nero.

DA BERE - Per accompagnare il pasto sono molte le proposte della struttura. Sono disponibili, infatti, birre artigianali, cocktail e una completa carta dei vini.

I won’t say that the dishes weren’t delicious, I will say that they are for an acquired taste. As for us, we didn’t enjoy our meal at all and were extremely disappointed. Why adding raw sausage/prawns to pasta or cooked dishes? Is it a new trend or an original culinary style of the chef? Maybe. We didn’t appreciate. The tastiest thing on the table was the bread. IMHO the dinner didn’t cost the money we payed for it.

This is without a doubt one of my favourite restaurants in Rome, I eat there whenever possible. Why? Because i appreciate the high quality ingredients, the menu that changes with season, the interesting combinations/creativity of the dishes and their presentation. The attractive decor, good music, friendly/professional staff.

This is a “not to be missed” opportunity for some excellent food in an absolutely charming setting. It was the best meal I had in Rome, and honestly the best meal in a while (and I live in a total food town - San Francisco). We started with a wonderful antipasti of cheese and very tasty salami and other meats, then I had a delicious salmon prepared with gin and my sister had Cacio e Pepe and both were beyond the pale good. Plus, unlike a lot of other restaurant bread, theirs was just perfect! Again, don’t skip it. Had we stayed longer we would have returned again and again.

Small, cozy and unexpected bistrot in the quiet area of San Lorenzo. Few but very good dishes in a modern revising of roman cucina. Perfect for an easy romantic dinner.

Small, nicely decorated restaurant. Friendly service. We had a reservation for six and were seated in the corner which was a bit tight but ok. The food was disappointing! The seviche lacked lime and coriander... The pasta sauce was supposed to have squid like fish jb it buy there was hardly any while the pasta itself was far off from Al denote. (Need probably 3 min. More in water....

Nice and simple. The restaurant is very cute but the neighborood is frightening. It's behind the train station. I recommend to take a cab to get there.

The food was a bit mixed between good and alright.

We shared a meat tartare, which was not really great seasoned. Then we had a very salty carbonara (far to much cheese and the panchetta was a bit too long in the pan and therefore dry) and nice home made ravioli in a simple tomato sauce, with a bottle of water and wine for €62.50

The place is very prettty, though a bit overpriced for San Lorenzo

Lovely friendly restaurant, very helpful staff and lovely easy access location.
Good choice of food and superb wine made it it avery enjoyable night for us all
Took 8 guests who were all very happy with venue and facilities, very clean and nice relaxed atmosphere.
