About the restaurant 23 Restaurant - Caviste Bio

Excellent --- truly wonderful dinner. I loved the options for the different menus and the advice in choosing the wines.

We had the 'Carte Blanche' menu - 5 courses chosen by the chef. A bottle of organic St Emilion off the extensive shelf (prices marked on + 8 euros corkage). Food was exceptionally good, chef and owner very friendly and we had a good chat (in English) about world politics. The restaurant was quiet (it was a Monday night). Situation very pleasant alongside old church with some outside seating. Total bill 111 euros, would definitely go back again if in Lyon.

aurant I do recommend as their menu shows they are using fresh products (3 starters, 3 main dishes and 3 desserts). The restaurant has an open kitchen so that you can see the cook at work and even speak to him if the restaurant is not too busy. He's Italian so expect the menu to be influenced by it.

A really nice restaurant with good wine. I must say I tasted the best white wine ever for 30e/bottle. The dishes are pretty small but were enough for us since we took 3 dishes (first dish, main dish and dessert). The restaurant looks a bit like prison from outside, but don't let it scare you, the inside is really nice.
