I saw the feature on The Fork and decided, as it's so close to Wigmore Hall, to try it based. At 5 pm on Sunday afternoon the place was quiet, but probably normal in that part of London. The room was dark-ish (it was gloomy outside), decorated with a warm tinkling of lights. Quite cosy, even romantic. I inquired after the pre-theatre menu, which the helpful staff brought out, carefully also explaining the difference in offers with the one I signed up on The Fork, but they were very flexible and we liked the set menu better. The starter came and all 3 were delicious; beetroot with coconut yoghurt, smoked salmon and pickled cucumber, ham hock (the best I've tasted) and mushrooms. The main were equally good; stone bass with muscles, and chicken supreme. Plus the dessert of pear and chocolate mouse, and a free glass of wine, this set menu if very good value. I must praise the chef in making a ham hock terrine as lovely and varied as the one I tasted. Will definitely return. Maybe more people should try this place. Location is perfect too for the shopping crowd and concert audience like us.

I've been here a few times and this was the worst time. The service wasn't as good as usual. My friend didn't get what he ordered and if I find out that he couldn't get it only when everybody else had the food. No one came to clean our table for more than 15 minutes after we had the appetizer. The cheeseburger was overcooked and the lamb shoulder wasn't as good as he used to be.

Had a delicious meal yesterday!! The starters of smoked salmon and ham hock terrine were delicious. The tuna was exceptional, and my burger was excellent. Clearly, they have a very talented chef! But!!! The bill came with no discount and I had to ask, (and this happened last time too)

Great service and food as always!! This is one of my regular stops when I am in London. Only issue this time was the sight of a little mouse. I hate to mention it, but want to be honest. The staff were quick and responsive to the immediate issue the mouse created (we moved tables). I hope this small issue gets resolved so it does not become a big issue. It will not effect my feelings (I will continue to go to 28-50 Oxford Circus when I am in London...I love it too much not to). The 28-50 Oxford Circus is a wonderful restaurant!!!

The food was delicious; artichoke tempura, truffle arancini and lamb shank. The restaurant had plenty of space but we were sat in the corner by the door which seemed a bit strange. Menus were presented quickly but it took a while before the waiter came to take the order. 3 of 4 the bottles of wine we wanted were not available. The bread we ordered did not arrive, and the starters took a while to to arrive. The waiter was very nice but as the evening went on we had less and less contact. The lamb shank was absolutely delicious. It was hard to get attention but eventually we managed to ask for dessert menus (15 -20 mins). We decided on a dessert and drinks, but it took so long again for the waiter to return (15 mins) that we decided against attempting to order. The bill was incorrect as the bread had been added but this was quickly rectified. It was a lovely evening, and we had the 50% off a la carte deal, but the service was just ok (friendly but inattentive) . We would have spent more money but the opportunity did not present, and it was not busy in there. The look and ambience was nice.

This is a great little restaurant in a perfect position just off Oxford Circus. The food was delicious (we had the garden sharing platter and then the seared tuna which was beautifully cooked) and the wine was very reasonable. We had to remind them when the bill came that we had booked on The Fork with the 50% discount but they quickly changed the bill and it was a very good deal. I wish more people could discover this place as it deserved to be busier than it was.
