Food: We both had a roast. They were lovely, only criticism would be the roast pots weren't as fluffy and fresh as i would have liked. Puddings were also delicious. Staff were lovely, not overly attentive. Kitchen was quiet compared to other open kitchens. Nice decor, lighting and temperture. The tables not too close together which was good too.

Our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were friendly and the service was very prompt. We will definitely return.

Excellent food and service

Lovely atmosphere. We were looked after throughout the evening. The scallops went down well on our table as did the shin of beef.

Staff very attentive, cozy environment, good verity of wines and cocktails with something for everyone on the menu.

This was our first visit. The food and service was excellent. We had a slight difficulty sliding along the double seat which was covered by a non-slip material.

The food is always superb at the Hollies, I am a steak eater, but will only have steak at a few restaurants,obviously the Hollies is one of these!!, the selection is small but show cases the food stuffs from their farm shops, but always superbly cooked and presented. I have no idea how they do it, but at every venue, the holie have friendly, attractive, knowledgeable staff offering a high level of service. I am certainly a big fan of theirs!!!

We have eaten here many times and been very satisfied. However our meal there last evening was disappointing. The food was cooked and presented with no apparent concern or affection for either the food or the diner. Admittedly it was a 50% off deal but it was less than 50% value. So sorry we can’t be as effusive in our praise as in previous reports but last night was well below expectations. Disappointed but will probably give it another chance sometime.

We were disappointed that we had to wait for our table - but service was good and speedy once we'd sat down. Food was good - but not perfect. I enjoyed the salmon bon bon starter. My main was a little disappointing - the char grilled chicken was a little dry and the risotto a little salty. I shared the posset dessert which was beautifully smooth but lacked a citrus tang. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The 50% off food deal made it excellent value for money!

Booking service was easy. Restaurant decor lovely fresh and trendy. Service friendly and efficient. Food was fresh and of good quality. Quite pricey, but okay for a treat.

Sea Bass , very good

We had a lovely experience and will definitely be coming back again! We had cooked breakfasts (they allowed us to swap items on our plate to what we preferred without any issue) and smoothies - food quality was brilliant, cooked really well and great portion sizes Staff were really friendly and welcoming, lovely atmosphere

Great food great service

Warm and friendly greeting from staff member on arrival who then took care of our winter coats. We were first shown to a table near the kitchen but asked to be moved as the lighting above the pass was very bright in our eyes.This was done without fuss or irritation by staff.Temperature inside restaurant was ideal and background music,quite a lot of Stevie Wonder that evening,was unobtrusive.The seating was very comfortable and suited the table height perfectly.My wife was extremely complimentary about her salmon fillet main and my fish and chips was served piping hot and perfectly cooked. Discussing our meals the following day we thought that my starter course was not quite as described on the menu in that it seemed to lack a fairly important component.I contacted the restaurant the following afternoon regarding the wording of the dish on the menu and it was agreed that there was some element of confusion which would be looked into straightaway and the wording or ingredients sorted out.I made the call not as a complaint but simply as an observation and am happy that the restaurant will resolve the issue.For that reason I shall not say which dish it was as it is for the restaurant to put right. All in all a very pleasant dining experience,something which,sadly,has not always been the case at other locations.
