I went for dinner with my husband, the place is clean and nice. The food was exceptional, the chef done an amazing job. also the owners were there and around the whole time to make sure that we are enjoying the food and drinks. the prices were reasonable compared to the quality of food and proffsional service. I would definitely reccomend this place and going to visit again.

Had someone really close to us overlooking our table, made it feel clausterphobic. The food took a delayed amount of time, I did see the kitchen working their hardest though so it wasn't for lack of effort it seemed. Everyone's food came out around the same time. Would have been really nice to get treated to a small desert or something. The food was really good, a tad smaller portion size than would have been preferred given the circumstances. We were also told a month or so beforehand that the restaurant had lobster available, and found out that was no longer on the menu.

Very good wine selection, oysters, and great pork belly. I saw the duck and I would expect for 38 odd dollars a juicy Fat Ridden Duck Breast you can't easier get in the supermarket. I've only ever found this in Southern France so my expectations are a bit high. However, serving a cheap duck leg was pretty ordinary for the price. Food for thought. Still recommended for a fancy dinner. Service, timing , heat, pork belly, wine selection, ambiance all really great.

I like to have a meal here when on a business trip to Canberra. The food is always very good. I particularly like the oysters (in 6 ways) and the Barramundi. Everyone is very friendly. Highly recommended!

Went above and beyond for mothers birthday. Candles out on table and a lovely bouquet of flowers to match. Incredible service, good knowledge of wines and great food.

Fantastic staff who are super friendly and efficient. Food is great with a good range to choose from with many seafood options ,best tempura prawns we have ever had. Love that there are lots of small plates that can be shared to large meals to choose from. So lucky to have found this place a real gem that we couldn't believe we didn't know about. We will definitely be returning. We have only been to dinner but this would be nice for after work or late night drinks.

Good menu, convenient location and our entrees were very nice. The only complaint was that my colleague found two hairs in her main course fish dish. The restaurant didn't charge for her main meal and the wait staff were very helpful.

We were so looking forward to going to 65 northbourne and it did not disappoint. We were welcomed from the time we walked in the door. It was lovely and cosy. The staff were so friendly and answered everything we needed to know. The food was brilliant. We had lobster and wow. We didn't want to leave. Your missing out if you don't try it.

Service was very respectful. We didn’t feel rushed. Food came out perfectly timed. Hot and Delicious. Watching the chefs cook was entertaining. Although it’s a seafood restaurant there was plenty for the non seafood lovers of the group. Central location. Parking was a little hard to find was our only complaint.

Very poor customer service, when we finally ordered what we ordered was unavailable the same with the wine ! We had previously dined there and had a good dining experience, very different to our dining experience last night! Had to even ask for cutlery along with salt and pepper. Will NEVER go back

Amazing food, everything cooked to perfection. Prawns and Calamari were tender and tasty. Fillet Mignon was cook perfect as per my request , it was so tender as was the beef cheeks. It definitely worth a visit is you are in Canberra.

Not very good experience with this restaurant because of the followings: 1. There’s a sign at the entry door saying “fresh seafood available daily” and the blackboard above the kitchen listed all sort of seafoods (lobster, mud crab, whole snapper, bug etc..). We ask for fresh lobster and whole fish but we’re told ALL seafood is only available from Wednesday! 2. Unclear price on the menu: The rib eye with bone was listed at $75 for 900gram, with 900gram crossed out and replaced with 1.2kg with no new price. We only come to know the price is at $135 for this dish when we pay for the bill. 3. We ordered barramundi from the main menu. We both had one bite and noticed the fish was off. We both got diarrhea when we got home. 4. Our booking was at 6pm, the main didn’t come out until almost 8pm!

The sign at the front of the store said fresh seafood daily. The oysters we had were very small,the prawns were very cold for and entree and had to peel them. The my mains portion of pork belly very generous with the coleslaw bland . The wine we had was great. The restaurant should hero the seafood if it says sign states fresh seafood daily.

A bit short staffed, but no doubt due to Covid. The hot chocolate mousse (lava cake) and the zucchini balls were fabulous. Parking nearby is a bit of a pain. Would definitely recommend

We were welcomed very warmly by all the staff and they made sure all our needs were attended to. The food was outstanding, we had balmanian bug, octopus (which was prepared a little different to remove the chorizo) and shashimi, which was so good we needed up having two servings. Great experience overall.

Extremely disappointing evening. Granted the place was understaffed, but the staff who were working were more intent on spending time behind the bar as opposed to attending the dining customers who were actually spending real money. One staff member when asked where our mains were after waiting over 1 hour post the starters - replied "Oh they will come out at some point". For an establishment that sells itself as a fine dining restaurant, I can say that it did not deliver and oversold and left myself and my family hungry and bemused. The owner who was present, seemed intent on schmoozing and socialising with bar patrons that ensuring his 'fine diner's were adequately served. Never will I return and I recommend to all to stay well away.

First time dining here as well as our first night out since lockdown and my partner, son and I were all SUPER IMPRESSED! Not only was the food absolutely unreal but the service from the chefs, bartender and hosts was something we’ve never received elsewhere! Coming from a hospitality management background, I would be so proud if my team held themselves to this kind of customer service standard! I don’t recommend many establishments but I highly recommend 65 Northbourne! We will definitely be back December 1st to check out their new menu! THANKYOU for such a great time.

We had a meal here about a year ago and were struck then by the ambiance and quality. To say that we were not disappointed is an understatement. 65Northbourne is a veritable gem. It’s menu is varied, it’s staff are friendly but professional. The chef is an artisan.

Pleasantly surprised, 10/10 food service was good also. A little noisy as it is a bar as well, but for being lockdown for so was great to see people having a great time, as we did. Worth it for the food.

They took our orders and unfortunately forgot to properly process one order. All the food came out and then we had to wait for them to make the entrée and main for one person. They were really lovely about it, but it shouldn't happen. They were very apologetic and also gave us free desserts, which I appreciated. However, my chocolate lava cake was really undercooked and was 90% lava. The rest of food was ok, I had been here previously when it was the previous restaurant so had high expectations and it definitely was more mainstream rather than high end. I think they were just having a bad night and hopefully it is just a one-off experience for us.
