A bit out if the way but close to our hotel and an unexpected treat. Lovely warm welcome. Smart and comfortable setting. The tapas menu was explained in detail and lots of help on the wines too. Food was very flavoursome. We tried the mixed cheese and meat plate, olives, potato omelette and breads. Would certainly go again.
excellent food excellent service nice atmosphere nice place see you for sure very soon again and of course will recommend to my friends thank you
After walking through strong winds and rain, we entered a warm and friendly oasis of warmth and cosiness. Thankfully we had a reservation as it was still busy despite the weather. The waiter who greeted us couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment we entered the restaurant to when we reluctantly left. The food and drink is locally sourced and with local specialities which were well explained. We had different glasses of recommended wines with the variety of dishes we had and a port to match the sweet ..The chickpea and sardine salad was delightful. The local sausage to die for. The selection of eight cheeses were exceptional (we eat a lot of cheese platters and this was definitely one of the best- if not the best - we have had).Plus a very tasty potato omelet. We fished with an equally tasty chocolate cake. Our waiter was also an ex footballer so we had a some great chats particularly as we are a Wolves fans and we have ex Porto manager and players. Al in all, a night to remember. Thank you O Bolina.
TODO MUY BIEN
We had researched A Bolina and booked a table on our first night in Porto. There was a very warm welcome from our waiter and the owner and the food we chose was excellent. The menu is not extensive but really good and the wine list has a great choice from inexpensive to more expensive. It is a bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit in a great atmosphere in what used to be the port warehouses.
Table was waiting for us when we arrived. Waiters very knowledgeable and friendly; helped with suggestions on the menu, also advised an excellent mid-priced wine. Whole experience was so good and the food so tasty that we immediately booked for our next visit the same week !
Really enjoyed my birthday meal at A Bolina. The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent. Would definitely recommend!
What can I say? The food was pleasantly different than anything I'd ever had. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was more than welcoming. I rate it as a must do for any visit to this area.
Lovely waiting staff. Food is interesting..not your normal tapas. Wine excellent. The restaurant is lovely with great views. Excellent birthday treat
Really excellent food, very Friend service! It was a great evening!
This restaurant is highly recommended when you visit Porto. We loved the food that was recommended and were very impressed at how professional, warm, kind and attentive all the staff members were.
Amazing experience!
loved it so much we visited twice during our weekend break!
Todo muy bien!
Excellent food and service!
The restaurant was recommended to us by friends. I’ve already recommended on to 5 others! We just loved it. Location is brilliant off the beaten track within a stones throw view of the Luis bridge. Service, Food, Decor, Ambiance, Value is truest faultless. It’s a must dine experience... but do book as it’s deliciously cosy.
Simply Amazing!!! The setting was cozy and romantic. The service was superb and food was great. We were able to try cuisine that was locally sourced and all very Portuguese!!!
Excelente!! A repetir...????????????????
Awesome evening. Had the mixed platters of cheese and meats. Waiting staff lovely and very helpful for a gluten free diet, menu has clear signs too. Atmosphere was great and a big thumbs up all round from us.
Really enjoyable simple Portuguese food and excellent service with very friendly staff. Would come back again!
