9.5/10Really good food in the 5 course tasting menu and reasonably priced wine by the glass. Service patchy though, as perhaps might be expected in a training restaurant (took ages to bring the wine list, and needed constant reminding to top up our water glasses - if you are going to remove the bottles from the customer's reach you must keep an eye on levels! Very comfortable chairs and a calm and attractively decorated room.

10/10The reservation I had was for a large group and it was requested close to the date. The arrangements had too littlest time to be met and I had all the support front the staff. The food, the serving, the description of the meals was perfect.

10/10Amazing cuisine, with top notch service, presentation and taste. This restaurant creates an experience for you that’ll never forget for an affordable price. It’s like a Michelin style restaurant without the Michelin style price. Highly recommend to anyone coming to Porto!

9.5/10This was an excellent experience - the food was exceptional and the wine selection complemented perfectly. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend this to anyone and I would definitely return in the future.

10/10We had a really wonderful meal. The food was creative without being pretentious. And the staff were extremely nice and attentive. The atmosphere is also great – a beautiful dining room in which you are surrounded by original artworks made by students from the time the building housed an art school.

2/10Ruined our New Years Eve. The NYE dinner cost $150, which was pricy but we were happy to pay for the full experience. Unfortunately we were left bitterly disappointed. To begin with, the dinner began 30 minutes late, which is just unacceptable, no apology was even offered. Secondly, all the dishes were mediocre, none of the plates were well balanced and frankly they all prioritised presentation over quality, whereas at this price point I would expect good quality and good presentation! The service was equally as disappointing, our dishes were not explained to us and when we did ask for an explanation they said ‘did you get emailed the menu?’ It’s almost as if the waiting staff didn’t know themselves. Also, a wine pairing was incorrectly paired, as the menu stated white wine with the fish dish but we were given red, which is an obvious blunder. Again, no apologies were given. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this restaurant, it would be a mistake if you did.

3/10In my years in the kitchen and out of the kitchen, I've eaten at various eateries, ranging from high end to a store front. I've never felt so ripped off and mislead, by a tasting menu. The portions were small, the pacing way too long in between courses, very little flavor and creativity to boot. I was extremely disappointed

2.5/10The food was extremely poor - nothing that I couldn’t do at home but with some awful combinations; humus, pineapple and rock hard pastry for example. A horrible gloopy slop served with chewy pork belly. Terrible! I asked for water twice but it never came. Every time the waiters disappeared from view they roared with laughter…

10/10This small trendy restaurant was an amazing experience! Not knowing the menu or what your next course would be until it came out was a unique and amazing experience. The courses were some of the most artistically complete dishes I’ve seen and had a taste that matched the art. Would HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone in Porto!

3/10Was very disappointed, it has no ambiance , the service was really bad we had to ask for water 3 times before we got is , the main dish was extremely salty and when I told them the server came back and said the chef has said this is how this fish is, I have had this fish in many places and never I had it like this I could not eat it. for the steak we were ask how we liked it cooked we said well done , the steak was pot roast not steak.

10/10My partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining at A Escola by The Artist. We had a wonderful experience! The concept was very interesting and the food was delicious. The five course dinner was fairly priced, and in our opinion, quite cheap. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great evening out.

6/10Arrived at reservation time. Server was ten minutes late. I poured myself a diet coke from my backpack. She said don't do that. I apologized and order a coke from her. She still charged me 12 dollars from bringing in a diet coke. Mind you, among five people, we spent 500 dollars. Very sad person.
