Excellent
Really great experience at L'Echevin. The restaurant is located within the Hotel le Marechal, Colmar. The food was extraordinary, and the service was lovely. Highly recommended!
Très bon repas 5 plats
Starter and main dish were average, the dessert was very good. The waiting time was extremely long and spoiled the lunch.
A great experience, food and service are equally good!
Very tasty food but a bit overpriced. The service was nice, but I asked for a carafe d‘eau and he brought an evian bottle two times which cost 7€ each..
Hotel has a very beautiful Xmas set-up of polar bears on it's roof. The food was so good it deserves a 5 ???? rating. There was a bit of a wait in between dishes so if you are not in a rush then it's fine. Highly recommended!
The overall experience at the L'Echevin was excellent. The food was superior and at a level of quality that we felt was comparable to Michelin one or two star restaurants. The service staff was courteous, efficient and extremely helpful with helping us have an enjoyable evening.
You really get, what you pay for: Authentic French cuisine very well cooked. No fancy styles, no crazy plates - just honest French dishes in a likewise atmosphere. We liked it a lot, as it was exactly what we were looking for. Friendly service, fluently in English - many thanks! We would do it again :-)
Fish (Turbot) main course was disappointing but other courses, starter of scallops and dessert of raspberries, chocolate and sorbet were very good. My partners meal of Fois Gras and Beef was very good. Would recommend only ordering local produce.
Dinner for three on a Saturday night for a special birthday celebration. Had high expectations for such a highly rated and pricey restaurant. We found both the food and the service to be very disappointing. A steak was grossly overcooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. The vegetarian meal was tasteless with no flavor whatsoever. Fish was ok but very greasy on the palette. Party of four who arrived much later than we did were served before us. Empty wine glasses sat for a long time before we literally had to stop someone and ask for another drink. We were offered bread and we had to remind them to bring us butter. All in all, lackluster food and lackluster service. With so many restaurants in the area, my advice would be to avoid this one!
Disappointing with both service and food. Perhaps our expectations were too high. Service, most of the time, was non existent and items we ordered took ages to arrive - water, wine and desert in particular. The waiters might have been dressed well and possibly even trained well, but they were not present. For the money this is not good value.
A conseiller!
Group of 4 was placed in a very comfortable semi-private room. Menu d’Alsace is very good and excellent price/quality ratio. Knowledgeable staff and good wine recommendations. Would definitely come back here in the future.
good
Excellent, fine food. Portions were just right - not too much or too little.
Highly professional location. Excellent quality of food - professional support on wine - absolutely fair pricing. A good choice of wine at fair prices (not cheap, but fair for qualty offered). Recommended, if you'd like to choose something special.
Delightful French restaurant on a canal. Delicious lunch with local focus, and very reasonable prices. Would return. The char (trout?) was gorgeous.
The table we got had a view over the river, which created a beautiful setting for the dinner. Wonderful staff. The food was delicate and delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Really good cuisine and perfect service. The hostess was so polite and pleasant, and insightful about recommendations. The restaurant decor a bit reminiscent of 80s and a slight let down, but the green chamber is beautiful and well preserved.
Magnificent ambiente, making us feel wonderfully. The cook is to be seen as an outstanding artist of cooking! Everything was perfect, so the food composition and the pairing with vines.
