About the restaurant A Lagosteira

Seafood is really fresh and delicious. It has lobsters, crab, prawns, red snapper, sea bass, and more... . Some of orders are really big but don’t say for two persons (Some does) and servers are not explaining to you. Very good wines list and limited beers.

Very friendly staff. Excellent menu options with bias towards seafood, though chicken and steak options too. Nice selection of wines also available. Reasonably priced and will return for sure.

Starters were decent - mains lacked substance. Indoor seating next to bathroom was awful. Staff were not attentive and had to be tracked down multiple times.

We dined at Lagosteira four times during our stay because of their welcoming environment, great tasting food and reasonable prices. We ate a wide variety of entrees all were tasty and v well prepared. Particularly recommend the samon/ prawn kabob, the salmon was so moist and the flavour fabulous. One person in our party is strictly gluren free which was easy to manage at this restaurant.

Not what we were expecting. Trading since 1985 and the decor and facilities probably not updated since. Some staff need to get a job they like. A prawn cocktail straight from the 70's and main course with nicely cooked fish but basic presentation, stray cat and numerous flies included. Citronella candle anyone? Oh and the bill was a lot bigger than we were expecting too. Wish we hadn't bothered frankly.

The meal was very fresh and delicious and the waiting staff were very attentive. We loved the fish dishes of sardines and the salted cod roasted in the traditional way in the oven.

A cheesy 1985 restaurant with some eerie pictures of the owner on the walls that will remind you of Narcos. We've been there for the Lobster, on a Saturday night, the restaurant was half empty. That should have been our first clue. They had only 2 small Lobsters available, small however would be enough for one meal so I ordered one. I was surprised to see lack of Lobster on a Saturday night in a restaurant that has Lobster in it's name. We had some starters that ware so memorable that I cannot remember what we had, finally the Lobster came. It was boiled whole(as I asked), but they cracked in half and still left it's brain and guts in. Once I passed that, I took the tail and claws meat out: The Lobster was so overcooked that I had trouble cutting the tail meat. Presentation: 1985, Taste: none, Quality: None. Price: Expensive . Overall: Really Disappointing, not worth a try.

Food average for the price. Loads of ants crawling on table had to be asked to be moved. Manager did immediately then went on to say someone must have dropped something sweet. Spoilt the night a little.
