An excellent restaurant: the food, the wine, the service, the ambience. The grilled octopus was outstanding, as were the sides which they bring to you and let you choose. The wood-fired oven warms the room and makes it smell great. It is worth the reasonably short walk from the center of Coimbra to eat here.

Very good traditional Portuguese food from Beira Alta region. The couvert is pricey and a trap (6 little pieces of prosciutto 6€???). But the conventual deserts are incredible well done. The service is old school which give the mood a little bit decadent. But the service is attentive and polite. Overall a very good meal but not a rewarding experience.

Amazing place. Extensive wine list at reasonable prices. Specializes in grilled meats cooked over a wood fire. You don’t find many places like this.

Fantastic, authentic Portuguese restaurant only 15 minute walk from mayor sites at the University of Coimbra. The service was outstanding. The chef came in person to explain the different dishes. We were greeted with some cheese, olives and Portuguese ham to start. The food ordered came quickly and it was delicious! Accompanied by many side dishes to choose from. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Coimbra

So glad we took a taxi ride to this little restaurant. It's on a residential street and looks very ordinary from the front. We arrived at around 7:30 and we're the only diners for about an hour. The limited menu was informative and told a bit of a story for each dish. We had the octopus and tuna for starters, both good and for mains we had the roasted kid (goat variety!!), divinely tender and tasty. A number of side dishes that were replenished if we wanted them...... the nice waiter suggested a good white to have with our meal and we went onto a white chilled port to have with coffee. Bill was about €110 which we thought fair for the quality of food and wine.
