The view was breathtaking and service was good! For starter we have the fried cuttlefish, taste was great but the portion could be bigger. The mains were good. Love their dessert too.

We enjoyed our meal here, the location is outstanding at the end of Albarquel Beach with a lovely view of the bay and city. The food was imaginative, nicely presented and portions were quite large. Decent wine list features local producers at reasonable prices. The outside area is spacious and well maintained with lovely seating areas and was full of people enjoying late afternoon drinks and snacks. I imagine we will return quite soon either for a meal or drink.

I've been a few times to Vela Branca. While some of the dishes are well executed, I found that the level is not consistent across dishes and the price you pay does not match the level of service and food quality. The variety of vegetarian options (and no vegan) is also noteworthy.

What a fantastic meal! The fish is fresh, the preparations are top-notch, the variety of dishes allows for all types of eaters to enjoy great food! With a view of the water and boats, there is no other in the city of Setubal! Service is excellent! Must try the croquetas!

The view over the end of river Sado is stunning, the service 5 stars, all the staff very helpfull and friendly, and in my case had some fresh bass was very well grilled and served. To repeat for sure.

Beautifully located restaurant with high quality food. Very attentive staff and a great terrace. We will definitely come again! Small critique; Maybe it would be good to upgrade the toilets since this does need attention. Looking forward to revisit the terrace soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Meat was presented on a cold plate so meat was cold as well. Part of the meal had not much taste. Personnel was more occupied with each other, not with the guests! Personnel is not managed in this respect. You do not get a menu but a QR code in order to read the menu on your phone. All in all a disappointing experience.

A nice place but not a real portuguese experience. Setubal is known for the quality of its sea products, from fish to seafood. When we arrived Vela Branca, restaurant and terrace with a stunning view over the Sado River, we had in mind to eat fish. The quality and freshness of the products is disappointing and makes no difference for any Lisbon supermarket in terms of variety. The menu had a few references of grilled fish and was all about mainstream risottos and pasta. Choco frito was a messa: extremely dry and crunchy (hard we could say) and came with a sweet and sour sauce (why?) and the mayonnaise was not very fresh. We have also lacked the warmthness and kindness of the portuguese service. It is a place with an extreme potential for tourism if its owners want to make it genuine and remarkable. Basically we can classifiy it as a place for gobal tourists that don't mind what is portuguese gastronomy genuinity.

Very professional service. Both the lady serving at our table as well as the young guy assisting her were extremely friendly and welcoming. The chef came out to serve the delicious fresh fish. Beautiful terrace and they even provided blankets when it got a bit colder at night.
