With little exaggeration, Seville is worth a visit just for this restaurant. Food was sublime. Service was excellent. An enjoyable experience.

A quaint restaurant tucked away in Seville which has such a wonderful atmosphere. The food was on another level, they accommodated to my allergies and paired the wines perfectly with each dish. I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone visiting Seville.

The vibe was ok, the staff welcoming. However I was expecting more from a Michelin starred restaurant. I’ve been to non-Michelin ones with better food and much more interesting vibe. A bit disappointed. The food had a rustic fusion style but it was a bit dull. From about 9 courses, I can say that I really liked 2. Overall, it’s a nice place, however overrated in its current state. I would not go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was good however 1 or 2 of the courses were a little underwhelming. The service was excellent and the wine pairing was a real highlight with a great mix of Spanish and other wines

Abantal met our expectations for a Michelin one-star. The dishes were delicious, well-prepared, and imaginative. All of the courses on the tasting menu impressed; no let downs at any point in the menu! The wine pairings were also really excellent.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The number of courses was very good and it was certainly very good value. My main quibble would be that there were too many sauces that were similarly spiced so it became repetitive. The wine was very fairly priced. Overall a very enjoyable meal

Service was elegant and outstanding, attentive, informative and anxious to please. The plates were gorgeous, artful and inviting. Not every dish was a home run (too many consecutive tastings with 5 spice powder dominant and a rare, belly tuna with a mushroom sauce that I would have preferred on a beef dish) but the home runs we’re out of the park and some of the best bites I have ever eaten - the mixed appetizers and shrimp, oyster, goat, suckling pig dishes and desserts were remarkable and the dish ware enhanced the presentation of each dish superbly. Wines were excellent, paired well, local by our choice but selected by the sommelier to match the dishes and our preferences and very reasonably priced. Dining here was a very special event and the setting was sufficiently intimate and quiet.

Dining at Abantal was an amazing experience. I had the larger sampling menu and every dish was exquisite and tasted fantastic. It was an eye opening experience for me. Service was excellent and I felt well taken care of. The lovely lady (maybe she was a sommelier) gave good recommendations for wine and I enjoyed it very much. No dress code I was surprised but felt comfortable. My favourite courses were the seafood. Please go if you get the chance :) you won't regret.

The restaurant has a very relaxing, tranquil atmosphere; not so formal but has a class. The dishes have a very subtle flavor of different spices. They are not overwhelming, but rather complement the natural flavors of the main ingredients. Definitely worth visiting and experiencing the tastes and ambience that they create.

First of all, the food was excellent! The service was professional, yet a bit aloof. For example, getting the waiter to tell a bit more about the food and wine appeared to be quite challenging. Perhaps a language barrier? The pairing of the wine - Manzanilla Maruja, Sanlócar de Barrameda - with the dishes of red tuna belly and razor clam is quite peculiar. Of course it is all a matter of taste, but we would have enjoyed a conversation about the restaurants’ choice on this. But all in all we certainly recommend a visit to Abantal!

Abantal was unfortunately somewhat disappointing. The decor was minimalist but felt clinical and soulless. The service was efficient and business like. The team were well drilled in delivering the tasting menu with wines but we had to ask for water and had to find someone to get the bill at the end. The food was a mixed bag. Out of 13 courses a couple were stand out (pork Oreo and foie foam with coffee jelly), four were good and three were frankly bad. Across all the courses the textures were all soft apart from croutons in the first course. On a positive note there were a nice array of sauces delivered and everything was well cooked. The wines were of good quality but did not all complement the food. Whilst I appreciate the food and wine appreciation is subjective, I have been to a number of Michelin star restaurants and this one left both myself and my party disappointed. I would be surprised if Abantal is in the 2022 Michelin guide with a star if this is the standard on a regular basis.

This little restaurant is a great find. A bit hidden away from the eyes of the tourists but worth venturing around the corners for. The food was excellent, right portion sizes and the service was flawless. There was no pressure placed on us to consume a lot of different wines with the various courses and this was greatly appreciated by us. It was great value for money.

I dont understand how it could get one star. Some dishes were good, some bland and some had a bad taste. The wine pairing was also really bad with low quality and not matching the dishes very well.
