The food was really good. However, the service was not. In particular, any promises made by TripAdvisor‘s description as being a restaurant that caters to vegetarians and offers gluten-free dishes was disappointed. One vegetarian dish on the menu (where the menu was pretty extensive otherwise) and the advice provided on gluten-free food was very limited and simply not provided in a number of instances. One of our group members got sick from the food as it must have been wrongfully provided as gluten-free. The staff in general seemed to be all new, there was quite a lot of chaos going on (despite only 30% of the tables being busy). The cook certainly did a great job for most of us in a group of 10 people. Unfortunately, the unprofessional service reduced the experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Dear Sir,
I am very sorry regarding your experience in our restaurant Akashon and very surprised at the same time.
As you mentionned in your comment, you booked our restaurant because of the very good comments regarding our ability to cater vegetarian and gluten free dishes, which is true.
We offer à la carte 2 vegetarian starters and 2 vegetarian main courses. For gluten free options, 3 starters out of 5 on the menu, 2 main courses and 7 desserts out of 8 on the menu! I don't think you will find so many options of this quality in this region.
Our staff is very experienced and the waiters who looked after your table are now working for 3 years in this place and are well trained to deal with all dietary requirements. They offered you all the support and advices, even to go out of our Chef's Menu without any extra to be flexible as we always do.
This is probably why your table left 55€ tips at the end of the dinner. Pretty good for a very bad service as you mentionned...

We had the chefs tasting menu, Food was great and wine pairing was good fun. Will certainly be going back to try more of their food, the chefs clearly enjoy cooking as well as being excellent at it
