Very good food which we had to take in a rush as the restaurant wanted probably to set out table again. 12% service charge!!! We won't go there a again.

Fantastic fried fish and pasta at fair prices. We received so many extra samples that we were afraid we were going to get charged extra (though they were all delicious, I couldn't even complain if we did). I honestly can't think of anything I could improve about the service, taste, and atmosphere. Also to the restaurant owner and waiters, I'm really sorry for choking on my squid and making a mess.

A great restaurant serving fresh seafood and local specialities. Great little perks included the free aperitivo on entry, a free slice of crostata di amaretto with our desserts and awesome grappas served at the end of the meal. Food highlights included the cuttlefish in ink and the venetian calfs liver. Great place, we will return.

Me and my wife choose Al Gazzettino based upon reviews. The food was pretty good, but it was the first time ever that we got a feeling that we should leave this restaurant as soon as possible. We haven't even finished our first course when the mains alredy arrived at our table. My wife didn't even finish eating the main course when her plate was literally pulled away from her and digestivo arrived. All that in 45 minutes... and we still had half of the bottle of wine to finish. I can understand tables in restaurants should turn as fast aspossible - especially in Venice, but not when there are three empty tables in the restaurant and there was almost nobody there. Price - performance: 3/5. We ate better for half the price in the few coming days, and nobody was forcing us to eat and leave ASAP.

This restaurant serves good food amid a fairly unique atmosphere. It is not for those who want a leisurely evening, however. Service is rapid, but also fun. You are constantly surprised by treats. Don't be put off if you turn up and are asked to wait in the alley. You will be looked after and it won't be long before you sre inside.

The food was good and the little touches like the free biscuits and drinks were appreciated but I haven’t felt so rushed through a meal in a long time. We were seated, served, finished and plates cleared within half an hour and the bill was presented without it being asked for. This often happens in America when the staff want to turn tables for tips but here it was possibly as it’s such a popular spot and there were people waiting to get in. Either way, it’s nice to be able to relax and take time over a meal and this felt lacking.

Descent restaurant, great staff, nice food, a bit overpriced though. Service was quick perhaps too quick as they expect you to be out in an hour from sitting down, which I found a bit rude, having ordered two course meal with a bottle of prosecco. They bring you the bill which means it’s time to leave and doesn’t matter how much you had spent. A room for improvement here no doubt. Having said that the food was yum. Would like for the atmosphere to be more relaxed and it would be nice if the staff wouldn’t ran after us when we left asking for our receipt. Very unprofessional, spoiled the evening.

The staffs are really great. Our reservation was for two people, but we asked if we can have table for 3. Even they are fully booked, they were able to make it work for us. We had one appetizer, there main dishes and 9ne dessert. They are all great. In addition, the service is really fast.

The food is nothing special, and highly overpriced. We had much better food in Venice and for smaller price. The service is very good.

This family run restaurant was a great little find. We noticed it being quite busy when we were walking past it. The service was really amazing, very friendly staff. The food was delicious and as a little added extra touch the staff brought out little samples of food for us to try. Would highly recommend booking this restaurant for a lovely evening. Thank you to all of the staff.

Lovely lunch in cosy setting, and excellent service. Yummy food. We enjoyed very much the fingerlicking pasta with lobster and spider crab. The dessert ( amaretto torta) was to die for.

We have made a reservation and the staff told us that the kitchen is closed. How you dare without any information ? Nothing seems like Italy but like Pakistan and the photos is another thing from the reality

The serivce and the waiters are great and welcoming but the food was disappointing as this is my first restaurant that isn't recommended by local italitan, it was recommended by the staff of my hotel, when i entered the restaurant it's full of tourists and the food wasn't authentic at all. Price isnt an issue but the seafood they served me was cold and the pasta wasnt flavourable nor aromatic even with lots of seafood.
