Magnificent! The service, the decor, the food, the experience. Great job. A well worth experience for special comemorations. We recomend the 10 dish menu with the wine pairing.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue for anyone wanting to enjoy exquisite and interesting food, very knowledgable wine pairing, a gorgeous setting and fabulous service throughout. A must visit and we will be back for sure. Thank you Alquimia for a wonderful evening, simply outstanding!!!

The new menu offers two degustation options, and a number of a la carte dishes. We chose the “O Farroba” degustation menu which is biased more towards meat than fish. It offers 7 formal courses, but we were treated to a number of Amuse Bouche courses in addition. As ever in Al Quimia, nothing is what it seems! Every dish has unique, surprising elements that makes each of them equally memorable. I won’t spoil any of these surprises in this review, suffice to say the incredibly high standards of innovation and quality shine through the entire experience. The food is cooked to perfection, the presentation is immaculate, the service is very special. Add to this the skill with which wines have been selected for pairing and you have all the ingredients for a memorable evening! This is a very special restaurant in a wonderful location, and whilst the first Michelin star can’t be far away, a second will surely follow. It really is that good.

A delightful evening with Nuno & his team. The menu was creative & the food was beautifully presented & flavoursome, paired with an assortment of Portuguese wines. We enjoyed every course. The staff were friendly & welcoming & the restaurant had a calm relaxed ambience. We would definitely return. Thank you for an amazing experience.

We went here for our friend’s 40th. Incredible experience from start to finish. From the greeting to the petits fours- excellent at every step. Michelin star quality tasting menu with superb wine pairings. Perfect service, bit of storytelling, creativity, setting. A highlight of our trip.

Very creative cuisine with a remarkable touch of the Portuguese cuisine. A real must for any stay in Algarve, a hymn to its gastronomic talents, deserving definitely at least one Michelin star !

Amazing food. Service is attentive. Every dish had a concept which matched the local area. All dishes tasted amazing and was elevated by the wine pairings. Would fully recommend. Pricing is as expected for this level of cuisine and service. Would go again and again. We had the full seafood menu for €110 euros and all courses were a full Portuguese fine dining experience.

As always the best restaurant in the Algarve for food, service and location. We tried it so many times and every time it is simply exceptional. It was all renovated and the staff is lovely.

Dining at Al Quimia was a great experience. The food tasted fantastic and was beautifully constructed. The waiting staff explained each dish and the accompanying wines matched perfectly. A lovely evening.

I've lived nine to ten years of my life in hotels and eating at restaurants, but this was an experience out of the ordinary. Very attentive and professional personnel, excellent and very creative food. Well worth a visit.

Really outstanding tasting menu experience in a nice setting. Most of the courses were excellent, and the chef provided additional off-the-menu surprises throughout the meal. The sommelier chose wines that paired well with the food. Service was excellent.
