The restaurant, it’s food and it’s service is more than just a culinary experience. It’s a work of art. We enjoyed their signature menu and did not regret a single dish. We also opted for the wine pairing. It enhances everything. The only downside was a group of 10 entering the restaurant with no manners at all. Loud and non respective of others. Even a friendly reminder from the head waitress to lower their voices in accordance with the ambience failed to show any lasting effect. Hopefully when you will enjoy this great restaurant, you won’t have an experience like this

A sublime experience from start to finish. The staff and sommelier were second to none. Extremely tentative and they all bursting with the sunshine of the algarve.

This is the second time we came to Al Quimia. This time it was for our wedding anniversary. As expected, we had such a wonderful evening. The food and wine were at top quality plus beautiful presentation. The staff (all of them ) were very attentive. Our glasses were never empty (both water and wine ????). The food was served at the right time. At the end of the evening, the manager offered us a glass of excellent vintage port as a surprise for our anniversary. Thank you Al Quimia team for making our anniversary special ❤️

An excellent tasting menu with fantastic service levels. We had the "capture" seafood menu which was wide ranging and they provided an excellent matching wine flight. They deserve their Michelin star.

This restaurant delivered a dinner experience way above my expectations. Top quality and new flavours all the way through the tasting menu called "Capture" (seafood). Expect the tasting menu to last about 3 hours. It might sound like a long time but the time sure flew by for us. Big thanks to the whole team that gave us a culinary experience out of the ordinary.

What an incredible restaurant that is in desperate need of being awarded a Michelin star! Phenomenal food, fantastic and attentive staff and beautiful atmosphere. Absolutely no complaints and would visit again in a heartbeat.

This is certainly a restaurant that deserves its Michelin Star. From when we arrived the staff introduced themselves and every course was explained in detail. The food was sublime and well worth the price. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely incredible experience. Food was a total culinary pleasure, paired wines were amazing too. Staff so polite and courteous. Lots of little surprise courses to start with and the best of all, they made a special sugar free cake for my husband (was his birthday) at the end. Such a thoughtful and personal touch. Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough!

In Al Quimia from the beginning to the end you feel that the team is very committed in serving the best experience that they can. Everyone is very attentive to all the things, the dishes are very well explained and of course delicious. I was very surprised and happy with my dinner.

Refreshing to find a restaurant of this standard in the Algarve. Taster menu with wine pairing to be recommended. The service as with the food was fantastic. Its a shame in a way that the restaurant is within a busy hotel complex.

We went for the second time and it was quite disappointing. Restaurant has 4-5 areas with two tables each, one in front facing the hotel gardens, the other in the back facing... the other table. If you are unlucky to be in the back, and on top the front table is noisy, it becomes not a very good experience; if on top you go to the last section which is particularly dark, even worse. That's what happened to us. Apart from that, service was fine and food is good but it seemed further away from Michelin star than we thought in our first visit
