I wish the food worked but it seemed under seasoned and untraditional. The Greek salad had lettuce in it with no feta, The prawn dish tasted like the cream sauce had been seasoned with only salt and pepper and tasted mainly of cooked cream. The staff were lovely and the service brilliant. The vibe of this place is outstanding but for the price and photos on the menu… didn’t really compare unfortunately.

We were very excited to come to this restaurant based on the food menu, however it really did disappoint overall. The octopus was chewy, the halloumi was great (entrees), the prawns was a small serve (5) for $35 & just came with lots of sauce & two thin slices of bread, the beef cheeks was ok, but once again $35 for meat & sauce. We tried cocktails & wine, main disappointment was having to sit mid service for 20mins without any drinks or meals

WE had an outside table so we didn't experience much ambience but it was our choice as to where we sat. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have a walking frame and the maitre d' helped dismantle it and put it 'away', The waitress was a little slow but she did recommend a Shiraz that was very nice. My wife and I both had the lamb shank which was okay - certainly tender though a touch dry (perhaps slightly overcooked ?) and the jus rather bland for a Mediterranean dish. The saviour of the night was the hummus which was sublime! My wife, who is expert on these things, said it was the best she had ever tasted ! Unfair on one visit perhaps but with the number of Med., middle eastern, and Nth African inspired menus out there, we are unlikely to return to Alachati.

Really overpriced, plus no children's options. The kebab looked really unappealing and served on only half a wrap so awkward to eat. Service was good but couldn't get past the prices and lack of value for the cost

Delicious and tantalising. The beef cheeks were brilliant, beautifully done. I’ve been twice in two weeks and will be back again several more times. Awesome team, awesome service…well done everyone!

Lovely ambience. Great cocktail and wine list. We chose a Riesling but next time for sure will sample a cocktail or 2. Had the shared menu for 2. Dips and bread to die for, followed by entrees and mains. I loved the dolmades and fried halloumi. Our tummies were full and more. Easy walk from our holiday apartment. Coming back to have a cocktail tonight.

Service was slow and disorganised. The food was disappointing. Babaganoush dip was bland and not smoky - served with cold oily Turkish bread (they forgot to toast it). The lamb cutlets were overcooked and didn't even slightly resemble what was on the menu. The pilav rice was missing the brown bits and was just glug. We won't be going back.

The reviews we read about the food at Alachati were all very good so we decided to dine there, unfortunately we did not have the same experience. The $29 lamb and spinach gozleme had very little lamb and spinach between two pieces of dry Lebanese bread. When we saw the poor quality dishes delivered to the tables around us we cut our loses, paid the bill and ate at another restaurant a few doors down.

I have been to Alachati Restaurant twice now when I've been visiting the Gold Coast. Both times have been amazing. The food is incredible with amazing flavours, the service is great and just a lovely ambience. I would highly recommend going there. Julie, Sunshine Coast

Everything was beautifully done at Alachati! Such an awesome range of cocktails and drinks and food really had authenticity to culture. From presentation to taste the quality was of highest rank.

We had high expectations for this little restaurant with its Middle Eastern fare. Although the food was fine, it was just that, unmemorable and dissapointed a little comparatively. What was memorable was that some of the dishes we ordered only loosely resembled the photos or the descriptions on line or in the menu. Unfortunately they had also run out of one of the two desserts but didn't tell us when asking if we'd like dessert. It was a Thursday, so we found that a little odd and dissappointing.

Disappointing experience. I used to love this place. Yesterday I couldn't be more unhappy. They seem to be saving on everything. The amount of chips, I am still looking for the feta on the feta chips. The sauce in the plates. You order a 30 dollar dish with 6 prawns and they don't even put enough sauce. I was just expecting the amount that it used to be I love that dish but they lost me now. The people working there are lovely. I think the management is the issue. It was cold outside they didn't offer to put the heater.Just come back to what you used to be and stop cutting corners and then you'll have more business cause the taste of the food is very good. I walked out of here feeling hungry.
