The name Gastrobar is a little misleading because it is quite a large restaurant in a hotel. But the food and service was excellent. Very enjoyable evening.

The place is in a rather hard to reach location and the view is far from what is advertised. Food was average (paella and bacalao) and service fast. It’s within a hotel but looks more like a bar place: it was rather empty for the time (dinner) and felt overrated.

Very good fish and friendly service. I really felt looked after. It’s a hotel restaurant so maybe lacks a bit of atmosphere, but don’t let that put you off.

Monkfish and prawn paella was best that I ever tasted. Excellent wine. This restaurant is part of a hotel which isn’t evident on the restaurant site

There is no nice outlook over the city as implied by the pictures and you were looking at a construction site instead. Very poor ambience overall, and the airco was also too high (very cold). But worse of all, once we started ordering food it appeared that about half of the menu was not available “due to issues with their supplier”. They had not told us when handing out the menu so we had to change our mind impromptu on what to order. In the end we left the restaurant without having eaten there as there were only limited options left on the menu.

Bon restaurant sense grans pretensions amb bon producte i ben cuinat. Servei més que correcte i atent. L’únic que falla és la decoració del restaurant. Una mescla estranya de colors, estampats i estil que no combinen de cap manera. Ambtot, molt recomenable.

The dishes and service were both good. The one thing customers need to know is that this restaurant in in the Hotel Catalonia, or else they won't find it.
