On arrival our table size was mixed up so we waited at the bar, the barman was amazing. Tom cruise in cocktail in the making. We were asked at least 15 times if we needed drinks by numerous waitresses. Steak was amazing but my hubby’s and mine were mixed up. Very noisy -and we were right next the the register. Love the barman.

The food was amazing! The only fault would be waiting time, but there seemed to be an event on upstairs (?) So it was understandable. Ill be back!!

Lovely friendly service, excellent steak with most delicious pepper sauce. You won't find a setting like this elsewhere. Situated in the old Penny Royal complex, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated and overlooks the man made lake. Recommended and will go again.

We were celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary and I was disappointed from when I sat down. The tables are so close together that I felt like we were sitting on top of people . We were given the wrong drink and food menu, we were asked for our drink order from across the bar. We waited ages for someone to take our order even after being given the wrong menu. My cheese was missing from my entree, I also asked for my steak to be cooked (medium) it was raw. It was just endless with the amount of things that went wrong. I don’t understand how it’s so hard to get such simply steps right which make a huge difference to the overall dinning experience. Feeling frustrating as really look forward to this milestone every year.

Unique experience in a European - like setting with back drop of waterfall, cliff face, battlements and a daring walk. We have dined here 4 times in the past 6 months. Well worth visiting and dining whilst in Launceston.

food was disappointing due to excessive use of oil on practically everything. waitress only offered steak knife when she saw i was struggling with plain knife. location very good an staff friendly Chef could do with looking at Relbia for food choice and use of oil

Food and service was excellent. The venue was quite funny and unusual but the restaurant was surprisingly lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive. Price of the meals were a bit dear although food was very good.

Unfortunately our experience of the food was just so awful, it was a set menu of three choices for New Years Eve, a starter, entree, main and desert, first three courses were just awful, we had the seafood for the whole three courses and every course had this same broth over it which killed the taste of the seafood and the main course of a over cooked steamed fish and a prawn covered with this seafood broth and a couple of small greens well under cooked covered also in this broth Yuk ! On a good note our deserts were lovely and the scenery magnificent.

I find the quality of the food a little hit and miss. Most of the time we love the meals there. The presentation of the food could do with some work (get rid of the carrot for garnish as it seems to give the meals a "pub look"). It would be nice to have a bigger selection of wine other than Josef Chromy, perhaps throw in some other Tassie such as Winterbrook or Goaty Hill. The owner is such a lovely lady and the young male waiter we have had on our last two visits has the best customer service. All in all a good restaurant that needs a few tweeks.

Very rushed service. Very noisy due to large party at other end of restaurant. Perhaps closing glass doors would contain noise. Food good.

A fabiulos Fathers Day lunch! Choice of four entrees, main course and dessert all of which sounded delicious. We both had Tasmanian mussels to start which were absolutely outstanding! The mains and desserts were delicious too. Set price of $50 per person wax a real bargain for the quality of the food.
