After our visit last year we decided to come again; food and wine were excellent - so was the service too. We like this kind of "cuisine moderne" which the owner obviously brought from Barcelona.

The tasting menu was a wonderful experience - the food was creative, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The service was equally lovely. The wine offerings were great and at a very reasonable markup. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Heavy, not very delicious food that could have used a lighter touch and more freshness from acid, vegetables, etc. All dishes had an overwhelming smoked taste.

Restaurant was almost empty and the main dish was nothing special at all. Really good starters and service though. I might give Almeja a second chance

A lovely restaurant and some aspects of the food were wonderful, the bread and starters in particular. However the main food was tepid and under seasoned. The portions very small. Staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable and the service was good.

Unlucky with the dishes of the day we went (score based on a one day experience), the list is short but must be good, although fish and vegetables are underrepresented. They have on display an excellent olive oil and should serve it... Very nice ambiance and service and appealing menus for lunch. Will return hoping to be luckier. They have the potential to be a 9...

Absolutely delicious locally sourced internationally inspired meal. Creative and fresh point of view. As good or better than the standout meal we had at a Jose Avilash restaurant. Even ingredients I normally don’t like I was licking the spoon. The food is very underpriced for the quality and presentation. I would recommend this to anyone who considers themselves a foodie.

The service was excellent and the food here interesting. Very limited menu as seems typical in Porto restaurants. I feel a little pricey for food and location.

Located fairly close to Av de Aliados, Almeja is highly recommended for its creative culinary style and friendly service. Our server, Sophia, was helpful and sincere. The seabass was incredibly tasty and the balance between the sauce and fish was perfect. The filet mignon was exquisite and the shrimps with coconut were divine. Well worth a visit.

Almost haute cuisine. The starters were mind blowing, but the mains need another dimension. Great overall experience with excellent service, but for a 10/10 the mains would need more complexity. Probably a culture thing, but I would have preferred much softer ceiling lights and some candles on the tables. Bread and oil should be complimentary. Would recommend to a friend.

Exquisite and inventive food, beautifully presented , using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. The beef was perfectly cooked, with rich steak flavor, melt in your mouth tender. The cabrito (baby goat) was also very tender and perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes were ideal -- we each enjoyed a starter, a main course, and a dessert without feeling overly full. The small but selective wine list pairs very well with the food, and is very fairly priced for the top quality. The staff was very informative and attentive -- and the chef personally checked with us to inquire about our experience. Overall, a wonderful and thoughtful and creative meal. Highly recommended for a casual environment with M-starred level cuisine!

One of the best food experience I ever had, the mole best one I ever had. I could go on, highly recommended, did go for the 10 dishes tasting menu, but should have taken 14!
