We ate at Alpine Gourmet in Grand Hotel Zermatterhof on a rainy night, but the food and the service really warmed our hears. They offer a tasting menu of local and Swiss dishes, with wine pairings. Each course was beautiful to behold and scrumptious to eat. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, if utilitarian. The sommelier was excellent and had entertaining anecdotes and his recommendations were perfect. We really enjoyed this dinner.

Fantastic food well presented accompanied by an excellent wine pairing. Knowledgeable attentive staff who made the evening special. Well deserving of a Michelin star.

This is a very good restaurant and the food was great. The staff were lovely but a little over attentive - numerous staff filling water glasses every few minutes so that they were filled to the brim and they still kept coming. A few mistakes with our order and long waits between courses meant a very slow dinner with literally constant attention so that in the end we were glad to leave. It was however a fantastic meal.

Amazing staff and food. Sommelier was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Overall a superb, can’t-miss experience if you stay in Zermatt. Chef even made a guest appearance!

This was truly one of our most memorable meals of all time. Exquisite food and service to match. We did the 4-course selection with wine pairing. The wines perfectly matched to the food and the service was some of the best I have ever received. Every member of the staff was personal, knowledgeable, and accommodating (one guest was gluten and lactose intolerant).

Excellent food and service. The set menu using all Swiss ingredients was delicious, and the sommelier's wine pairings were near perfect. Thanks to all the staff who made our meal so memorable!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Deserving of more than a single star. Impeccable in every sense-food, wine, presentation, ambiance, service. Who knew Swiss food and wine could be so great!
