About the restaurant Amarone Restaurant

We are a modern Italian restaurant making traditional food with a modern twist, rely in the quality of our ingredients and everything is perfectly matched with a fairly priced wine list.
The chef is Sicilian and he loves the simply food, but he likes cooking well prepared and detailed dishes, he loves French cuisine.

Went with family for pre theatre meal. Great location right next to the theatre. Nice interior in lovely Beau Nash building. Very good, authentic Italian food. Pleasant staff. complimentary pre-starter arrived quickly. We had the two portions of each of the crispy zucchini and the arrancini to share to start, very tasty and generous portions. Slight wait for the mains. The beetroot and goats cheese pasta was fabulous. Pork cheek dish and the smoked chicken pasta also very enjoyable. The sirloin steak was the only disappointment, a bit over cooked for rare and also a bit chewy and the smoked mashed potato overpowered it. Loved the wine, an excellent Rippasso at £39, Complimentary Limoncello to finish. Bill just over £200 for five of us including wine, drinks and service, (added automatically to the bill!), Overall a very nice experience and we will return.

Love the service and friendly staff. Foods was good in general; ‘Lasagna in our way’ was good as it tastes not as boring as the normal tomato paste; pizza was ok and would be better if the crust could be thinner (personal preference).

Very comfortable and relaxed lunch time. Booking a table online was simple and confirmation virtually immediate.
The staff and food excellent. Prices seemed to be within the average for the locality,
We would definitely recommend the Amarone, and will not hesitate to use the restaurant again.
