    A truly delightful meal capturing the essence of traditional Catalan cuisine, blended skilfully with French elegance and modern presentation. A delicious menu with something for everyone, an excellent wine list showcasing regional varietals and a friendly and knowledgeable host. Per helped us choose local wines to perfectly match out food choices, which meant that we truly enjoyed the flavours particular to this beautiful region. Also very reasonably priced for the quality of the offerings and the service. The set menu at 18E for three courses including house wine was extraordinary value. Really enjoyed the Catalan speciality,Fideua, offered on Thursdays. All of this in a lovely dining room with a beautiful outlook over the river Muga and the bridge with its glorious flowers - loved it all!

About the restaurant

Una vieja cuartel de la Guardia Civil de finales del XIX situada en la antigua carretera principal de La Jonquera, en Pont de Molins (Alt Empordà ) , es hoy un restaurante de primera que trabaja con cocina casera adaptada , cuidando especialmente los productos de base , que son frutos de la tierra de temporada, así como la presentación de los platos, sutil pero minuciosa.

Abierto desde el 2008 de la mano de Pep Piarnau , de 34 años, Amiel & Molinos da cabida a 49 comensales amantes de la buena gastronomía y de los vinos de calidad, ya que el restaurante ofrece también una extensa carta enológica que recoge todas las denominaciones de origen españolas.
