Excellent
Food was excellent quality and amazing service. Would definitely recommend. Eluoise was a great waitress/hostess. A credit to you. I We will for sure be back. And will make sure we bring along our friends
Never disappointed, great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Only popped in for lunch but was a great experience, soup of the day was fab
Our party all really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and polite friendly and informative staff. Would recommend dining there . We all ordered different food and only good comments were made. It not only was presented very well but tasted very good also. The general ambience was good and the cleanliness shone through.
The menu here is very simple however the food was amazing, had so much flavour and everything was cooked to perfection. This place is the calm in the storm. A little hidden gem of Manchester. The staff are always spot on with how attentive they are to customers needs and I thoroughly recommend this place without hesitation. Thank you very much for a great meal tonight and we will be back very soon to visit again.
Excellent food. Staff polite and helpful great experience in these difficult times.
Hi I am sorry to say we were disappointed. The scones were old and even though I got a new one, it still wasn’t new-baked, the Victorian sponge tasted of fridge... so sadly, I can’t be more enthusiastic about the whole thing Greetings Maria
Lovely spot, great food and service. Sweet place right close to The Royal Exchange. Try cheese and onion pie, it's a belter ??
Booked an afternoon tea as a treat for my daughter's 11th Birthday. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, even putting up balloons and placing a banner on the table. The afternoon tea itself was superb and the service swift and polite. Will definitely be letting my friends and family know.
Lovely food - Pate . chicken mashed potato. fish and chips. cheese & onion pie - sticky toffee puddibng. jam roly poly - all lovely - very nice staff . great background music - only downside - no atmosphere as we were only guests in the restaurant
Best features? Everything from you walk in the door. Not pretentious in any way. Dined here yesterday evening with my son who I had come over from Ireland to visit on a day trip. Staff are very pleasant and helpful without being in your face. Food is beautiful and very tasty. This is proper food. We have been here before and absolutely will be back.
Excellent! Visited many times and always had a great meal and service. Food is great - plenty of dishes to choose from.
A disappointing visit; we have been to Annie's many times before and always enjoyed the experience. However, this visit was not the best experience - table booked for 5.30 so we arrived at 5.20 and were sat in the lounge to wait till our table was ready. Menu choices were made and at 5.40 we were shown to our table as our starters were ready. Starters arrived at 6.00pm....we then waited patiently till 6.45 for our main courses to arrive, at which time I had to query the delay with the waiting staff. Meals arrived shortly after. As we were attending a show, we had to rush our meals and no time for dessert, not the pleasant evening meal we had been looking forward to. I would say thta the food, onc eit arrived, was the usual excellent standard and the staff responded well to our disappointment (complimentary drink and a reduction on the bill) but that was not the point. Granted they were very busy but that is no excuse for poor service!
Been to Annie’s many times. Always first choice in Manchester. It never disappoints. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff are excellent, welcoming and friendly. Favourite dish is fillet steak or cottage pie.
Experience was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant was very busy, yet the service was excellent, food was also very good, traditional favourites cooked well. We were not rushed and made to feel very welcome.
Food excellent as always. Only quibble is that there didn't seem to be enough staff like other times. We had to wait quite a while to get our bill and as we had a train to catch had to wait at bar eventually for someone to take our payment. We never got an actual bill.
Lovely atmosphere and music, afternoon tea really good I don't know if waiter was new but he gave us wrong order of afternoon tea but we had already started eating when it was realised but it didn't matter.
We booked for 11 of us to celebrate my eldest son’s engagement. The service was outstanding, very attentive staff who made the occasion very special. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The restaurant is lovely.
Very nice restaurant. The afternoon tea could have afew more things on with the price being so much as you only got 3 small cakes 4 sandwich and a scone. The scone was really hard and dry. You could do with changing the recipe for them. Overall I will be back trying something else.
Excellent service, excellent delicious meal.
Lovely afternoon tea!
