Restaurant is very characteristic and staff very professional. Food is nothing less then what u expect from a Tuscany experience. Very recommended!!! Price bit on the high side but is expected. Definitely going back!!!

Food was good, nothing spectacular, but very good Italian standard. However the service was disappointment. Waiter not listening, still push the offer of something we were not interested in. Then mixing serving of starter and 1st dish, so then we shared one starter as second one was not ready yet. When serving 1st dish different order arrived at our table. Fortunately correct order was served just few minutes later, so I could join my husband and eat. But side dish - baked potatoes were not fully fresh, we were suspicious it was mix of some pieces baked already a day before. When we asked about we were told it is such sort of potatoes. If so, then I don't recommend to serve it... Top of everything was to get the bill, where next to our consumption was also the sum of dish which was served to our table by the mistake! Upon our comment the bill was corrected without any problem. However mixed feelings left. Not convinced to return back, nor to recommend this place to any other guests.

Such a lovely restaurant...fabulous, friendly staff, great atmosphere & delicious food....such reasonable prices too. We ate here 2 evenings in a row....and hope to return again????

Incredible example of local cuisine in a superb location. Professional and efficient waiters and staff . The rooms are small and , in my opinion, not fitted for large groups , but this is not a malus: in fact the place wasn't noisy or chaotic even if it was full when we arrived: you can actually talk with a normal tone of voice and be heard. For me this is one of the most important things in a restaurant: the level of noise when it's crowded, and this passed the test beautifully.

Busy, but staff very attentive and friendly. Good food, perhaps the Rabbit was not the best choice. I should of had my wife’s choice of lamb it was delicious.

What a find! Great service, the meal was outstanding. Tables were a bit close together for us at first but we got in to conversations with all the diners either side of us and it made for a great memorable evening. Everyone should have a meal here when staying in Florence.

Very noisy, Friday night at 7:30--while not the fault of the restaurant, nevertheless, it was difficult to hear conversation. Food was "good", definitely not spectacular, though pappardelle with boar ragu was very flavorful. Osso buco was much too fatty and should have been cooked down more, it was not as tender as it could have been. The cannellini (fagioli) served with it were totally flavorless, had absolutely no flavor or seasoning--steamed perhaps, but could have had some herbs or seasoning? They were served with a bottle of olive oil and a pepper grinder, but definitely not worth filling up on. My husband enjoyed his tortelli with meat sauce and fried chicken and french fries. The kitchen clearly knows what they are doing, but the food is a bit tired, not so memorable, and it's more a busy, rushed type of a place. We were more or less pushed out, at 9 pm told by the waiter that a party was coming and we had to leave. Though we didn't order dessert what if we'd wanted to? Would they have forced us out mid-bite? Not so hospitable, but since it's the oldest trattoria in Florence, they trade on their reputation. Food is ok, but I've had better, for those prices. Service was ok. Overall, not a memorable evening, passable food, ok service. I recommend for pasta more than a complex stew or meat dish.

Everything was excellent, from the zucchini risotto to the massive steak, this place is well worth the splurge. $127 for 3 people including wine and a shared steak.

Great pappardelle al sugo di cinghiale and folleto di manzo con delle patate al forno. Excellent location and the service is good considering how busy it was.

it's a very good canteen, with delicious ham and lamb.
