We were not impressed by the decor, a lot of white paint would do a great deal to improve.
However our welcome was excellent.
My starter of Froi gras was lovely and my wife had beautiful scallops.
I had the Turbot which I feel was not fresh but a lovely sauce which made up anything that was lost with the fish having been frozen, now I could be wrong.
My wife had the duck and this was very nice.
Crepes are my favourite desert made the experience so good that we will definitely return.

The welcome was warm and the food was delicious. I loved the decor too. All in all my family had a wonderful evening. We will be making Aquarelle one of our frequently visited restaurants, without a doubt.

We arranged to meet friends here as it was equal distance to travel. The 30% discount offer was not known to us, so not a deciding factor in choosing this venue.; So we booked under "The Fork" offer, why not? 3 of us ordered the Turbot dish, but the fish served was not Turbot, but a cheaper fish. We queried this with the staff, but they insisted that Turbot had been served. We feel this cheaper fish had been served because we had reserved on the discount. To be fair in our review, we eat the meals and enjoyed the flavours and presentation.
We were comfort with the ambience of the room, warm and cosy on a chilly autumn night. On a last note I am a retired restaurateur and chef of 50 years.

Super selection on the set menu (pity however that the set menu is not printed but spoken only, which doesn’t give the best opportunity to peruse the options). The starters and mains were of good quality (less so the overcooked apple and the floppy pastry in the tarte tatin). Service good up to the mains but tailed off after that with long wait before dessert order was taken, same with coffee.

Really disappointed was met with very rude waiter very poor service because we booked using the promotion food average and portions very small
