Fabulous
Great place for a quiet lunch
Delightful Sunday brunch. Champagne was constantly topped up. Inventive starters, Excellent choice of mains and desserts . Wonderful service.
East to book, excellent service, food very good.
Probably the most appalling attempted dining experience we have ever had, After nearly 2 hours tackling the traffic we were late and hungry. Arrived at 6pm but still in plenty of time to eat and go to the Symphony Hall. The service was non existent. The room was cold. There were only 2 waiters on duty. Our orders were not taken for over 15 minutes. We did not get a drink, not even water, until 6.25. Our paltry starters arrived at 6.40 - 3 of us ordered the smoked salmon which was the smallest, least enjoyable starter we have ever had anywhere (including the Aria). By 7.05 no mains had arrived and we had to abandon ship fed up and hungry. The last time we ever use the Aria. Supposed to be five star! The only consolation was that on returning after the show to settle up, the bill had been cancelled. NB: The waitress was not at fault. She kept chasing the kitchen but to no avail.
Afternoon tea. Extremely disappointed. Shortage of staff meant we waited over one and a half hours before being served. Having experienced quite a lot of afternoon teas, this was nowhere near good value at £50 for 2 people.
This was an outstanding afternoon tea .The service was perfect professional but friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent a nice use of different sandwich fillings and bases. Scones were fresh and perfect. The sweets were absolutely amazing loved the blackberry theme. Very good value as well. Thankyou I will definetky be returning.
Excellent food and the service was exemplary. Kind, efficient and very accommodating. This was a very special occasion. - a reunion with university friends whom met 40 years ago. The chef and waitress brought us a decorated plate acknowledging the occasion with complimentary chocolates. Very much appreciated. Will definitely dine there again. Thank you
Ordered from the pre show menu. Absolutely delicious! My husband thought the chicken was one of the best dishes he’d ever had.
Nice setting and meal
Nice settings and the afternoon tea experience was lovely. Really enjoyed the cakes and scones. The chef also accommodated my friend who didn’t want egg sandwiches and cooked her something bespoke. Only issue for us was dirty cup on the table with a very blatant pink lipstick stain on it. Don’t know how someone could have put it out without noticing. Considering I paid £50 I would have expected better.
The setting and ambience was lovely, lots of greenery and light gave it a calm, almost holiday-like, feeling. We had pre-booked afternoon tea for 2.30 and the food came out after 45mins. The tea arrived at the same time. We felt this was quite a long time to wait. The sandwiches were a big disappointment. Liked the concept of 4 finger sandwiches each with different fillings but this was executed badly. The bread did not feel or taste fresh and soft. It was stale. The fillings were very miserly and should have been a bit more generous. The scones were lovely as were the little desserts, especially the lemon posset. The tea was lovely (fresh mint) however there were hardly any staff milling around if you wanted to ask for anything. Overall an enjoyable experience, let down by the sandwiches and the delay, which was a shame as both of these could so easily have been improved.
The restaurant was fabulous, the food was great and the staff was perfect. Felt really happy and relaxed in a very pleasant setting. Really awesome dinner night.
It was a nice restaurant located on the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency hotel. Lovely surroundings, very dim atmospheric cosy candlelight. I chose to sit next to a well lit display cabinet nearby so I had enough light to see what I was doing. There were about six other customers dotted around the restaurant and the staff weren't as attentive as I would have expected. I had concerns about that as I was stood at the reception desk waiting to be seated for a good long while. The staff were very nice mind you, there didn't seem to be a particular waiter assigned to me or to the table. Sometimes it would be a woman popping by, sometimes a man and the wait times weren't unreasonable, just longer than you'd expect considering the kind of restaurant it is. The food was excellent, they ad a small selection of menu items to choose from for starter and for main. Scallops, lobster bisque, fillet steak and that kind of thing. Very flavoursome. Dessert was also a very nice apple tart with caramel sauce, topped (albeit rather ungracefully) with a ball of vanilla ice cream and served with a single spoon to eat it with so there was a certain amount of chasing it around the plate with a spoon.
very good atmosphere and service even. Good price with good quality of food
