Excellent tasting menu for a reasonable price! This restaurant is at the Gran Melia de Mar hotel, which has lovely grounds, beautiful view and rich history. Stop by the display off the lobby to see signatures of famous people have stayed there in the past. It wasn't too busy and the chef came to the table to tell us about her day's shopping to develop the evening's menu.

Lovely idea with some good touches but needs refining. Restaurant was smart but lacked atmosphere(very few diners) and uncomfortably hot. Good presentation but empinadas/pastries were dry and contained little filling. Whole experience took just shy of 4 hours which was too long - were expecting 2.5 hrs and not sure why it was so stretched out.

Very cool restaurant in an almost perfect location. Creative and surprising dishes of excellent quality! The price for the menu is really good, however drink prices are somewhat hefty!

The menu is set with the only choice being to miss a course and therefore not likely to completely suit everyone’s taste. The back story of produce selection and the freshness sits well with guests satisfied by the daily purchasing at Mallorca’s central market. One of last nights selections was overpowering in its garlic intensity leaving 2 of our party of 4 unable to clear their plates. Location is fabulous despite a sense of the restaurant being tucked into a corner. The table decoration seemed very unusual and little effort in dressing its appearance. Would you believe it was simply a yellow pepper! Would I go again? Mmmmmm

It is a very nice place, the view is splendid and the food was very tasty. The menu changes everyday, which is awesome. If I have to be picky, the only negative point that I have experienced with my boyfriend is that they ask us what we would like to drink without having the menu (regarding the drinks). Also, after receiving the drinks, they gave us the menu (it was a QR code for drinks menu), it was very confusing but apart from that everything was great.

Great location with views of the sea. Underwhelming menu with most courses requiring no great culinary skill. Salad and cheese hardly requiring mastery of cooking skills (these were 2 of 7 courses.) Certainly not worthy of the reputation nor the money charged.

A magical place with fantastic local food, tasting menu is made up daily based on what's fresh. The ambiance in the garden is fantastic and the staff super service oriented. A must every time I'm in the area.

the setting of the restaurant is extraordinary. The service is high standard. But it's a pity that the kitchen doesn't follow. On the menu grilled tuna but is was overcooked and the same for the lamb and other things.

This was the best restaurant that I have been to in a while. The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely excellent. The Chef goes to the local market every day and sets the menu. It was an absolutely phenomenal experience. The service was excellent. I’m so thankful. My husband and I were so impressed and highly recommend this restaurant.

You couldn't wish for a better setting than Arrels. Sat in the gardens of the fabuous Gran Melia de Mar Hotel on the edge of the sea, it really is very special. The food is also fabulous, with beautiful presentation and professional attentive staff, including the chef herself, Margo Coll.The food is pure Mallorcan with all ingredients sourced locally. The 7 course menu gives a good spread of the tastes of Mallorca and wit the portions being just the right size. A truly wonderful experience, and next we are going to try her 5 course breakfast !

The food was at best ‘average’ chain hotel’ food, although served as a tasting menu! The courses were slow to come out, and annoyingly they try and serve all the tables the same course at the same time making it slow. My partner pregnant was offered tuna tartar…. The chefs proposal to make it suitable was simply to cook the tartar… and thus serve small chunks of cooked tuna - resembling cat food. I would never go back and would never recommend it to anyone…. Also for the whole night there was a tomato on my table (and all the tables)… it seemed to play no part in the evening at all - just weird!
