ATO manages to combine top chef innovative food with a rustic small friendly restaurant space. The November menu has an emphasis on fresh seasonal fish, all beautifully prepared with a very tasty sauce and veg. Each course was a taste delight, accompanied by Portuguese wines that perfectly matched the food. Service is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Very good value for food of this quality.. We hope to return on a future visit to Faro.

Great experience at this restaurant! Warm welcome and friendly service. The food was excellent: special mention for the roasted squash with fresh cheese and the skate wing—both dishes were flavourful and perfectly prepared. Highly recommend this place!

We had an incredible meal at ATO. Super fresh fish, some of the best i’ve ever had. The staff was great, the chef, who is the owner, came out and personally talked to as many customers as possible. Can’t wait to go back.

ATO has a relatively small menu - on the plus side, you know that everything is fresh, the downside - three dishes were no longer available. Nonetheless, everything that we had was exceptionally good - pumpkin, prawns, skate, grey mullet, cheesecake, beignets. The wine list had a large selection of white and red wines, more whites than usual in Portugal as the menu is essentially fish/vegetarian. The service was very attentive. Only negative - we were seated near the door and it was a bit draughty. We will definitely go again.

Our best meal of the vacation. It’s run by 3 people - 2 in the open kitchen and 1 front of house. It has a lovely homely, friendly atmosphere but polished and professional at the same time.
