I’ve visited more than 20 restaurants in Porto over the past year, from traditional to Michelin stars, and the experience at Atrevo was definitely one of the best. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic and even though they are a small team, everything in terms of quality of service is amazing. I will definitely come back for the course menu.

I was already expecting something good and I was positively surprised, because it was sooooo good. The food was amazing, specially the red meat, which was the best we ate in Porto so far, after 2 yrs living here. The price is within the higher range compared to the average, but it delivers a higher quality, which can’t be said about all restaurants in Porto that are charging the same price. Great service. Also loved the fact that the menu is small and changes constantly. We will be back for sure.

Three of us had the Tasting Menu. Instead of the wine pairings we had a bottle of white and a bottle of red chosen based on our server's recommendation. One of our two servers was the owner or manager. The meal was excellent. Each dish presented beautifully and was a synergy of flavours. The size of each course was perfect. The wines were both from the Dao region and worked well with the food. This restaurant is a gem. It is tiny and understated while turning out this amazing food. It is clear that the good and atmosphere are in sync with the vision of the owner. I read the one negative review on this site and can only surmise that the writer didn't understand the concept. We did.

This is my second visit to this wonderful intimate restaurant . The tasting menu is a delightful selection of simple dishes with complex layers of flavours . The team are knowledgable, friendly and attentive . The music , scented bathroom facilities and cool coloured interior add to the experience of a calm , chilled dining experience . You have to go!

Atrevo is a small, contemporary and friendly restaurant, specialising in food made from seasonal produce. The 5 course taster menu looked good value for money but we decided to choose 2 different starters and 2 different main courses and share them between us. Both the servers were friendly and knowledgeable and when they realised we were sharing, brought each plate out individually until we were ready for the next so that the food didn’t go cold. We could see the chefs working in the kitchen and could hear the sizzling and smell the gorgeous food being prepared. The wines were as good as the food. We would definitely visit here the next time we are in Porto. By far the best restaurant of our holiday.

Nice staff. Good food overall but the tasting menu was way overpriced. We’re from London, we’ve been to lots of Michelin star restaurants and travelled extensively and price v quality ratio, especially as it’s in Porto wasn’t good. Our lamb was chewy and a bit fatty. Rest of dishes were good but not delicious and the tasting menu was expensive at 60 Euro per head without wine and not comparable with similar venues across Europe. If we’d had the wine pairings it would have been near 90 Euro each. The ambience of the place is poor, it’s not in a nice, central location and feels like a cafe and not a proper restaurant. It doesn’t seem to have a website, just a Facebook page. It wasn’t a good choice for our wedding anniversary meal and I’m really surprised by all the fabulous reviews.

This place was amazing! My friend and I did the tasting menu which was broken up into “snacks”, soup, fish, meat, and dessert. We also did the wine pairing and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive as well. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life and it was very well priced (especially compared to tasting menus in the US). Highly recommend!

Wonderful find , incredible tasting menu in a gorgeous intimate setting . Without exception the staff were knowledgable, warm and friendly. Each dish was full of flavour and clever. The beef and celeriac was in credible as was the risotto .

Worth every penny. Nice plating together with an adequate presentation was topped with excellent food. Furthermore, was the staff extremely friendly and professional. Even so, is it really affordable i would have paid the double. A real pearl in the heart of Porto.

Nice humble restaurant with kind service and interesting food. Took the recommended wine pairing and was very pleased with it. What was offensive and left a bad taste in my mouth was this. When I walked in, there was no one else in the restaurant. No distraction. The gentlemen welcomed me, and I clearly said, "Thank you, I'm happy to be here on my birthday. Of all the restaurants I could have chosen I'm glad I chose this one." Another table sat within 1 meter of me, and apparently they to were celebrating a birthday. Difference is, they were offered a special dessert for their celebration, while I was ignored. This inconsistency and attention to one guest while ignoring the other (me) was unfortunate. Made me feel less than than the other. Its the restaurants responsibility to listen to the guest and pay attention. They failed and only gave interest to the other table. Because of this I was deeply offended.

we were there for the end of the year dinner, the menu was fixed with a path chosen by the Chef and not modifiable. New and interesting flavors, well paired! We liked it, the price was in line with the event.

Loved our experience with the 8 course tasting menu. Food was inventive and fun, wine pairing was very fairly priced (and was the whole evening), and we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly, unpretentious service and good food. Highly recommended!
