9.5/10Our waitress was outstanding in every way, taking great care to explain in detail the preparation of each item. She exhibited a genuine love of the culinary arts, and the food at crocodile is visually artistic. We are a family of four (including 16 year old twins who are both foodies), and had the Lobster, Sturgeon, Wild Boar, and Pheasant. All were excellent, but the boar was the best! We had the cheeses (you get to pick from an amazing selection) as well as the vanilla balls for dessert (unique and amazing). Our only complaint was that we were seated upstairs rather than in the main dining area downstairs by the crocodile. We were by ourselves for about 30 minutes which was ok but strange, but then a couple with their infant child joined the party and the screaming baby ruined the ambience. With 16-year-olds we should have been seated with the adults below, as there was room, especially when you are paying $560 for lunch.

10/10We were at this restaurant for our 7th wedding anniversary and wanted it to be special. The ambiance was romantic and the waiters were very attentive. The food was excellent and we highly recommend!

10/10Excellent restaurant in the centre of Strasbourg. Very well prepared and beautifully presented food made from high quality ingredients. The a la carte-tasting menu offers a unique opportunity to sample, in smaller portions, of course, all items from the a la carte menu. Two starters, two fish courses, two meat courses and two desserts. It’s a very good way to experience the skills of the chef and his team, and I highly recommend it. The service is friendly and very professional. Staff have an eye on everything and are always ready to assist guests. The dining room is elegant, comfortable and very pleasant. I have been dining at Au Crocodile for many years now, and I continue to give it my best recommendation.

9.5/10We took the lunch, as dinner reservations are harder to get. Food was very good. Perhaps the lunch service crew is younger than at night, but they made us feel welcome and served us well. Thank you for an enjoyable 2.5 hour lunch.

10/10Wonderful staff... my first server - not the somm - amazingly was able to list out a half dozen Gewurztraminers by level of sweetness (I wanted just barely off-dry / almost dry), he nailed it. The server named Loan was also just absolutely pleasant and helpful. I dined at Crocodile 25 years ago - before much of the new staff was born - but loved being under that amazing painting again. I asked one of the servers "You kept that painting even after the remodels?" He said "Have YOU TRIED moving that painting?" Hahahahah!

3/10Sadly the chef and servers missed the mark. Menu should be simplified. Chef’s menu with completely different dishes than the a la Carte menu was disappointing. The courses weren’t as good as the descriptions of what we could have and probably should have chosen ourselves. This also seemed to overwhelm the chef and staff as it threw off the pacing. We waited way too long between courses. Also the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Too bad, it seems like it could have been much better than our experience.

10/10We recently dined at "AU Crocodile ". The food was absolutely excellent, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. What truly set this experience apart was the chef's willingness to adapt the menu to meet my specific needs, as I am currently pregnant. They went above and beyond to ensure that every meal was not only delicious but also safe and suitable for me. The service was top from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, accommodating, making sure that every detail was perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience with exceptional food and outstanding service.
