The food is quite good, but the service was bad. One waitress was serving too many people. At first, she did not want to honor our reservation. Then she agreed to serve us, but the aftertaste is quite bitter.

The main course was delicious, we had Confit de Canard and slow cooked lamb. The music wasn't exactly our taste, but well, no harm done. I would go again.

We had a couple visiting us and they wanted a cosy French place to catch up and have dinner. We ended up spending 3,5h at this place cause the setting was perfect, food and wine great (slow cooked lamb was impressive), live music pleasant, and staff helpful. pleasant. A lovely evening indeed.

They seemed too busy to give diners good enough service when I visited. The atmosphere and waitresses were nice though. I had ordered three dishes and this made me find some trouble walking around. Namely, each dish has much enough volume to make you content.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The slow cooked lamb was to die for and the live music was a wonderful added touch. My only wish is that the desserts were as good as their main dishes! But it was a great experience overall.

About the restaurant

"IN THE QUARTIER LATIN - ideally located in the Pantheon quarter in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the restaurant Au Port du Salut welcomes you to taste various dishes of our beloved national cuisine. Housed in an old building whose facade is classified as a historical monument, the stones and beams make up the charm and uniqueness of the restaurant. The food is tasty and modern.

CUISINE OF THE CHEF - The Chef, Marius ARRANZ, offers homely French cuisine: homemade foie gras, scampi gyozas, beef tenderloin, grilled blue lobster, or home-made desserts named for celebrities such as Gainsbourg, Coluche and Brassens, thus making tributes to artists that were native to the places.

THE BONUSES - the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Every night, a piano bar will enchant you with the standard French musical interludes (Gainsbourg, Boris Vian, Barbara...) or Afro-Cuban jazz. There is even the option of partitioning the place, which is worth the trip. In addition, the small terrace will welcome you during sunny days."
