About the restaurant Au Vieux Spijtigen Duivel

The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, but they serve absolutely delicious traditional Belgian dishes in an authentic atmosphere.

I was looking for a place within walking distance to Forest National. The website for this restaurant caught my eye, so I made reservations through this site. I was extremely pleased with the greeting and quick seating when we arrived (not always something you experience in Belgium). The atmosphere is cool and eclectic and hints to a history going many years back. Coming from Waterloo where everything seems overly expensive, I was pleasantly surprised with the prices listed on the menu. I was even more surprised when the quality of the food was beyond what I expected (based on prices). The service was quick, and the staff super friendly. I can't wait to take other friends and family there.

somewhat disappointing when I recall past meals that were better prepared and of better quality!
still good but hope they will go back to the previous level when the quality was excellent vs. "correct"...

Cuisine moyenne :
