Little place, cozy, well lit, simple yet elegant. We were welcomed and served by a nice young man, always smiling and making sure everything was ok. The owner/chef also cheerful and enthusiastic about his food. The food was very, very nice. The duck filet and the pork were executed to perfection. Simple yet sofisticated at the same time. For me/us, great experience. Is it cheap? Nope. But you pay for great products, impressive execution and personalized and warm service.

Fantastic food - Tuscan with a twist. Focused on quality over quantity - locally sourced. Excellent wine menu - again thoughtfully selected. A nice relaxed pace but still attentive. Plus personal service from the owner/chef Gabriele. I can’t say enough about this restaurant. One of the best I have had in Italy/Tuscany after traveling here for 13 years. Off the beaten path but worth the trip!

A lovely little restaurant with an exciting menu and wine list. The dishes have obviously been thought and prepared by someone with a passion for what he does (yes, he. The cook is a man) Very kind staff! Will certainly go back.

Superb small restaurant with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Not the usual Italian food but all the better for being different. The decor is unpretentious and the ambience has a very relaxed feel. Slightly off the beaten track but totally worth the extra 5 minutes walk - definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately I was the only guest in there (early evening) so could not really feel the atmosphere. The waiter who is the owner was very friendly too.

The Chef/Owner is out serving, making recommendations for the food he has bought and prepared that day for the night service. He speaks excellent English so conversing and enjoying his conversation was a pleasure. Small intimate restaurant, minimalist so all the emphasis is on the dining experience. You could easily eat alone, couples and one table of 4 was on view last night. We ate tempura chicken and pork fillets, the cooking was excellent on both. Wine list was affordable and the Reisling we drank with our meal was 29 euros. Excellent value for 6 glasses and very quaffable. We are returning for the steak as the Chef explained about it needing to be at least 1kg for it to be cooked the way it needs to be served. This is a restaurant where food is served with love.

We stayed at an Airbnb down the street so I looked for local places to eat. This place is a hidden gem! The owner/chef Gabriel took the time to go over wines, food sourcing, bread-making and even how he prepares the two dishes we were interested in. He clearly loves what he does. Every course was amazing and the Chianti recommendation was perfect. We can’t wait to come back with family and friends.

The local ingredients were skillfully prepared and presented by an owner that loves making food and serving people. The restaurant has a very personal laid-back vibe that was so enjoyable. We had 3 different dish's that were each on delicious! The owner was even so kind as to spend so time with us at the end of of meal and talk cooking techniques. A fun and unique dinner experience with great food.

The food quality and taste is good. The portions are to small and the price to much. If you want to eat for 60 euro a person you should go here. The wine is overpriced. The service was not good. He forgot de drinks. We will not recomand this place.

Dear madame, I am sorry about your experience but I do not recall you...are you sure that you are not mistaken us with another restaurant?! Few things make me think about this...first I'm the only one on duty and I serve one table at a time therefore if I had forgotten something you should have had meny chances to tell me... secondly its easily demonstrable that our wines are way too fair in prices (I'd like to know what is your comparisons) WE DO NOT EVEN CHARGE THE COVER CHARGE!!!!!same as per food...how can you tell if something it's expensive or not...I am not bargaining quantity over quality and our dishes are way too generous for the quality we offer.... maybe borgo (assuming that you had dinner here) it's simply not for you and maybe during the evening you had several chances to tell me instead of hiding behind a computer or a mobile and write something useless...I really don't understand people like you that prefer to not say anything in person faking smiles and then..... anyway bye G

This is an excellent restaurant with an exciting menu and where the food is simply outstanding. Five of us ate here for the first time and we chose dishes from across the menu: every one of us felt that the food and the experience were top class, beautifully cooked, presented and served. Great meat and vegetarian options. Attentive, friendly and professional service. This isn’t a typical Tuscan meat and pasta place that is tourist focussed: it’s a real restaurant that would thrive in any city based on the quality of the menu and the cooking. By 9, this small restaurant was becoming very busy- a restaurant really worth the short walk: you will not be disappointed.
