Cuando tienes una cocina formada por profesionales de todas partes del mundo, lo normal es que los platos reflejen esa diversidad. Eso pasa en Baiben, idea del chef Fernando Pérez Arellano, que cuenta con dos estrellas MICHELIN por el restaurante Zaranda. Este enorme establecimiento (700 metros cuadrados) con terraza y una sala-mirador con vistas a los yates de Puerto Portals sirve una cocina de fusión en la que mandan los sabores mediterráneos, asiáticos y latinoamericanos. En una sala luminosa, salpicada de azul, amarillo y blanco, y con grandes ventanales que invitan al relax, se pueden probar platos como pergaminos de gamba roja con dip de mango y jengibre; almojábanas colombianas (pan de queso y yuca con salsa dulce-picante de guayaba); tacos crujientes de cochinita pibil y un largo etcétera.

All through the lockdown my husband and I have longed of returning to Mallorca and going to Baiben for the lamb and couscous dish with patatas bravas followed by the tart tartin and we were not disappointed. We went last night and the staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was outstanding we will be going again this week

Reservation was confirmed by restaurant for a nice table by the window. Welcome was professional and quick. We had some nice tapas, cava and wine of the well selected wine list. We would go again.

It was a quiet lunchtime but this didn't spoil the experience. The food was amazingly good and the set lunch is really good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

We loved the "Tristan" that was here before the Baiben and so we came a bit sceptical but were very positively surprised!!! Not only are the drinks and cocktails very creative, the service very attentive but the food is inspired from tastes and spices all over the world and so it is a great pleasure to sit down and enjoy the different tastes of the very well executed dishes! All in all a very nice and modern bar and restaurant - just what Portals needed!
