We had our Christmas dinner at Balcon de Cordoba and are so happy with the choice. The atmosphere is great, the service is an ideal mix of professionalism and personality, and the food is delicious. The starters were beautifully plated, and we liked the few choices for dishes, as they made it feel even more qualitative. We can highly recommend it. The only thing we thought of was that the fluorescent lighting could be a little more dimmed.

We started with a drink at the balcony on the 3rd floor. There we had an incredible view of the Mesquita Cathedral. Then, we had dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor. The attendants were very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. Really good indeed. I suggest strongly the “naranja y gengibre” dessert. Delicious! Prices seemed correct.

We came here for a birthday lunch and it was absolutely lovely. The patio was so calm and beautiful where we ate and the food was delicious. Later they brought us our dessert and champagne to the rooftop terrace. It was absolutely lovely and the food is great. Definitely recommend!!!

Lovely location and fabulous views from the rooftop. Sebastian the waiter was lovely, polite and smiley. The hotel has a nice feel about it however, as to the food this was terrible. The menu is very limited (4 x mains) which is fine however we had to send both our mains back. Firstly I chose Lamb Shank with parmentier potatoes and my husband the octopus with green dressing. I also asked if there were any vegetables (prior to ordering) but they only serve with potatoes - which again is fine. The big issue was that the lamb shank arrived on top of a bowl of mashed potatoes - not parmentier (small squared roasted potatoes) as described and without any gravy or sauce. The lamb had been slow cooked at low temperature (they explained) however without any cooking sauces or gravy it was flavourless and bland so I had to send it back. My husbands Octopus was very tough, difficult to cut and even more difficult to chew! (Like rubber) and the dressing was very very salty. It was inedible. We eat Octopus regularly as we live in Portugal / Algarve so we can make a fair judgement. Also, the Gyozo starters were ok but not special. We asked the waiter to get the chef to try the Octopus and he agreed it was tough. The waiter was very good and took both the mains which we’d returned off our bill which came to €75 euros for two starters and wine and water.
