A couple of weeks ago, we have been with my boyfriend 2 times in Bar Spek.
The first time only just ordered some drinks and 2 soup with tortellini. The consomme was not bad, but nothing special, the soup very small and completely cold. The waiter was very attentive to bring more beer, which does not mean good service means good seller, he should be check if the plates arrive enought warm at the table.
The second time we arrived at 21.45 on Monday, and asked if we could still have dinner, the waitress consulted in the kitchen and said yes, but we could only ask for some cold starters or pizza.
So we ordered an Antipasto Misto , ok but, nothing special. Like a main courses pizza and calzone, which really is not a Calzone .... and was also almost cold, I have seen from the table that have prepared while the antipasto and the cook was left out of the oven, waiting we finished the antipasto and the pizza was ready.
I tried it and was actually cold, I asked the waiter to warm up it and told me no problem, but that seemed strange that he was cold. The pizza was ok, but ,a bit expensive for not having an wood oven.
Around 22.15 we ordered 2 coffees and the bill, the waitress said it was not possible to order coffee because the coffee machine was already clean !!! ....... no comments......

First of all the food was great! We ordered the bread with aubergine caviar - superb - and I had the sea bass with polenta, my husband had the veal pot roast with risotto, and my son had a pizza. All the food was great - although my husband said he liked mine better than his. We each had a couple glasses of wine, and my son some chocomel, and with 2 desserts the cost was around 75€. Very good price quality!! What we didn't like was the crowded small tables, the noise level - which was so overwhelming you couldn't even hear your table partners speak, and the kitchen wait. And we went at 18:00 to avoid any busy crowds or long waits! So as much as we liked the food, the experience on the whole was not good enough for us to return.
