This was the second time we were here, they served us our lunch starting by a tuna tartare that was delicious, the flavors were very balanced and the sauce in the middle complemented the dish. For the main course, we ate a fish dish that was braised mackerel with celery puree and was too good with all the different textures and the quality of the fish was incredible. The second main course, we ate a meat dish that was shredded steak with gnocchi and caramelized onions. The meat was very tasty, the seasoning was very good and the gnocchi very well made. For the final course, the dessert, an apple crumble but different from the common, with a ball of yogurt crème fraîche and cinnamon syrup with a glass of port wine. The deconstruction of the crumble was very creative and with a beautiful apresentation. The service and the people were very nice and kind and I recommend this place for everyone that are coming to visit Porto. :)

First the menu which is amazing - we wanted to try everything - the charming staff suggested three dishes to share. We had the tuna and white fish tartare, the Japanese pancakes and the mushroom, egg yolk and potato. They were all delicious and we just managed to find room for a remarkable deconstructed apple crumble. The wine recommendation was perfect. A lovely evening !

This one is a hidden gem. The concept is that you order a lot of dishes to share, they are diverse and have interesting combinations. The wine selection is really decent, and have orange wines as well. Service is of a level you'd expect from a Michelin restaurant. We'll visit Bartolomeu again, for sure!

Great staff and wine list. Every thing we ordered was phenomenal. Even the simplest dish of Tosta Mista was some how out of this world. Would highly recommend Gnocchi De Batata Cebola e Ragoút de Vaca specifically too. Cannot wait to come back.

Beautiful surroundings, chic & elegant. It’s a happy place. Service was very attentive and kind. Wine list great, with good variety. As for the food it was very good but I believe if you’re a GOOD restaurant and hv employees, one should be producing ALL one’s food. The gnocchi weee disappointing in execution as they were industrial and not house-made plus the veal sauce was delicious but waaaay too salty ( & I looove salt!)

Bartolomeu is a special place. Took my family there on our first night in Porto, and what an amazing experience, from the way they present the food as a journey, to the absolutely delicious shareable plates (each dish was better than the next) to the beautiful ambiance. Even with all of that, the real heroes here are the staff, who are helpful, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Shout out to Priscilla for her warmth and incredible wine expertise. Thank you Bartolomeu for making our stay in Porto unforgettable!

Fantastic Christmas lunch! We chose a couple of small dishes to share. Everything was unique and absolutely delicious. The presentation of the food and quality of food is exceptional. I found great gluten free options and their gf free was fantastic! Fantastic service and ambience too!

I was surprised by the entire experience. When I first walked in, it seemed slightly dead, and I wasn't sure if it was the right pick for our one night in Porto. Well, the minute we sat down, things changed. The service was top-notch! They were friendly, helpful and patient. The food was outstanding and not too much like in America, where they give you triple the amount you need. The wine was excellent, and they gave you options to taste and a deep explanation of each wine. I highly recomend this restaurant; it's not showy, and it's a sleepy surprise for quality food, wine, service and real Portuguese service.
