Beautiful building in a gorgeous location, food was amazingly delicious, the service was okay. Lots of staff individually all lovely, but we felt they were all working in together but not coherent, maybe it would be better if the each staff member was responsible for individual tables. Our first item was placed on the table wrapped in a napkin. Had no idea it was food as the waitress didn’t say what it was. Wasn’t until the second plate came that we realised food was under the napkin. Food was delicious. Thanks for having us.

The ambiance and setting at the restaurant was pleasant. It's in a heritage building so it has a cottage vibe, however a bit of work could be done to repair some parts of the building. The service was also quite good, with friendly and attentive staff. However, unfortunately, the food did not live up to my expectations. Although the food looked decent, the taste and quality were not up to standards. The dishes were made with cheap ingredients, and a lot of the elements on the dish did not go well together. The main course, which was pork, was particularly disappointing. My partner had a reasonable chunk of pork, but my portion was small and consisted mostly of fat. The only dish that was enjoyable was the chocolate dessert. Unfortunately, the rest of the 7 course meal was a letdown.

Nice food and friendly place. Definitely worth the discounted degustation price. However, my friends and I were surprised at the inconsistency of the dishes; in portion sizes, presentation... Tasty food still.

Absolutely loved the garlic baguette and the tartare beef for the starters. The rest of the meal was very enjoyable and I liked the unique whisky collection they had on display in the dining room. The wait staff were a little green but in a cute way. We had a great time overall dining here and recommend for special occasions.

Perfect location, beautiful view - such a romantic restaurant. However the food quality was average, we were left a bit hungry after the set course (the pork belly main was a very small piece of meat). The waiters seem to be a bit inexperienced but did make an effort to be attentive.

Such a stunning hidden gem. It’s a gorgeous art deco cottage overlooking the water. Very welcoming service, lovely food presentation and unique flavoured dishes. I’d recommend to a friend for date night.

Beautiful restaurant but the young waitress was very off hand (just didn’t want to be there and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her that she had to wait on us). This detracted from the ambience.

The food was top notch in terms of taste, balance and portions, We have the beef tatare and Salmon for entree, chicken and the fish pie for main and choc fondant for dessert. The fish pie was a standout for me, the best pie I have ever eaten; beautifully made pastry, fish cooked perfectly and the sauce was spot on. There seem to be alot of new staff learning their way and it was a bit frantic. That aside, I would definitely return and would happily recommend this place to a friend.

The terrace Is lit by both candle lanterns and the city lights. Inside you can feel the historic ambiance only a restored heritage cottage can provide. Food here is flawless, you cannot fault it! This place is a must visit.

Beautiful location, right on the water, views to the Anzac bridge and city Tried the Salmon, pork belly, steak, fondant and coconut curd all were amazingly delicious. Highly recommended!

Great food with water view location. Enjoyed my Mother’s Day lunch very much. The special shared menu was a great idea as we got to taste a bit of everything. All the dishes from Start to Finish were delicious! The desserts Tahitian Vanilla Bean Curd (chilled) and Caramelized Pears and Chocolate Crumble (warm) were heavenly. Service was a tad slow but it’s understandable as it’s Mother’s Day so the restaurant is super busy. Parking is also a bit problem at this location. All considered, it’s a gem and will definitely be back. MM

Right from the complimentary starter herb bread through to the perfect Fondant, every dish that we had was cooked to perfection with only the very best ingredients. The meal was superb, wait staff attentive and whilst the room lacked a little atmosphere, the overall experience was memorable. Will be back again and again.

After having doubts about the restaurant, I was really pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. Service was excellent, food delicious and well priced for what we had. The location is beautiful and well worth a visit. i had only been put off by no one returning my calls when I had tried to call to request an outdoor table.

Perfect hidden gem - it’s a place you tell people to go who appreciate what it is to put the phones away and have a conversation over dinner. The service is attentive and not intrusive and the team where coordinated friendly and courteous- the food spoke for itself - fab evening - gastronomic delight !

A gorgeous Victorian cottage set on beautiful Blackwattle Bay. The food is devine, surprisingly generous portions for a fine diner. The wine list is excellent. Great service and overall ambiance. Would return in a heartbeat.

The reservation attendant, he could pay a little more attention at guests’ requests and came across as a bit arrogant/rude. Food was delicious, couldn’t fault anything regarding presentation or taste. We had the set menu and it didn’t disappoint. Service could be improved. Took a while to get our second glass of wine. In fairness they were very busy on that day. The waitress who served our table was very nice and attentive.

We came here for a family dinner for a special occasion. It was a very windy night so we appreciated being seated inside. The food was excellent - delicious. The service was a little lacking but we sympathise with post lockdown staffing shortages. It was a lovely dinner. Highly recommend.

Hidden gem which was a pleasant surprise! Chose the pre-set dinner menu $95 pp - and the food was delicious. Couldn’t get enough of the John Dory and Barramundi “cottage pie”. It was busy though and was under staffed when we went so had to chase after them a few times to get some service. Good atmosphere and ambience as if felt like you were in some sort of gallery or museum.

This restaurant is a gem. The location is fantastic, a beautifully renovated cottage and the food is amazing. We had a set menu to choose from and all dishes were just perfect, we felt like we were in France. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Will surely be back soon.
