9.5/10Beautiful, very tasty food. We can highly recommend the chef’s surprise menu. From starters over mains to dessert we enjoyed a delicious meal for a very fair price. Can highly recommend Beniràs!

10/10This was an excellent little gem in a great little city. We stopped on the way back from the airport and had a lovely outside meal. The service staff was fantastic in accommodating us and the food preparation was superb. The mixture of spices and tastes was outstanding.

8.5/10This is a small restaurant just off the main Breestraat in Leiden…easy to find and pleasantly small. The tapas style food is inventive with good flavours and textures…..a very pleasant dinner in a convivial local ambiance.

8.5/10Shared dining in a cosy atmosphere. Friendly service and a fine dinner for 2. We selected 2 bites and 3 shared dishes for 2 persons. Red wine (Tempranillo) by the glass. We had a nice dinner and stay.

5.5/10We were absolutely disappointed with our dinner. You’re getting 2 stars because the service was good. However , the chefs menu is an absolutely ripoff. What are you paying for the amount/quality that you get is ridiculous. We pay 170 euros and we didn’t have dinner honestly. I have no reasons to ever come back.

7/10We were pleasantly surprised by unknown and unique dishes and flavours. Only one dish left us disappointed because it was dry and overcooked. It's a very cute delightful restaurant in the heart of old city. We will be definitely back!

About this restaurant
Met Beniràs Bar & Kitchen is een toegankelijk, gezellig, knus bar-restaurant met een keuken die zich kenmerkt door herkenbare gerechten, die, eenmaal op tafel, zowel qua smaak als qua opmaak aangenaam zullen verrassen. We maken alles zelf, het ambacht staat voorop en we serveren in de vorm van shared dining. Beniràs nodigt uit om te komen borrelen, aan de bar of aan tafel, in een sfeer waarin de beslissing om te blijven eten haast ongemerkt en dus makkelijk is gemaakt. De gezelligheid bereiken we door een mix van een warm en gastvrij team en met een knusse inrichting. Lange banken die uitnodigen om in kleinere en grotere groep aan te schuiven, en tegelijkertijd ook plekken om intiemer met zijn tweetjes te genieten.
