The three course lunch menu was quite nice. The starters of onion soup and coddled egg with crayfish were quite delicious. The main courses of pork belly and Scottish salmon were much larger than expected and very good. We could not finish the entire main course. The homemade ice cream and Armagnac cake with fresh cream ended the meal. Everything tasted great and I was very surprised with the generous portions. More than I expected for €39 per meal.
Worst service ever. Terribly slow and waitress said “let me finish” when my husband asked for a dessert menu. Highly do not recommend, and this place should lose its Michelin star rating. Ugh!

Have been going to Benoit for many years. Excellent food, service and reasonable prices. There s always a choice of meat and fish dishes. The terrines are dry. The sponge cake with whipped cream and Armagnac is unforgettable.
Standard French fare prepared to the highest standard. Charming bistro atmosphere. Menu at 38 Euros for lunch was value for money.
Friendly staff but food quality was really not good and definitely not up to Michelin standard. Actually not up to normal bistro standard. Kept forgetting to fill up the wine.
The food was superb I must say, had one of the best steaks ever. However, I’m surprised at the service, just to mention 3 points: 1) we ordered half a bottle of wine which came in a wine decanter but we were not even shown the bottle of wine to ascertain it was indeed what we order nor invited to taste it - the server simply came by our table and poured into both our glasses like it was water without a word - this is quite unacceptable in most restaurants, not to mention a Michelin starred restaurant; 2) save for the first pour, none of our wine glasses nor water goblets were refilled by any of the servers throughout our entire dinner; and 3) towards the end of our dessert course, we were asked whether we wanted coffee or tea - we politely declined and explained that we were simply too full, to which the server replied along the lines of “in that case, i’ll get the bill” and presented us with the bill without us asking for it. We were not even the last diners, there were quite a few other tables occupied at that point. To us, the above 3 instances are quite unacceptable to us in any restaurant, and we would have expected better from a Michelin starred restaurant.
Awful service and pushy staff. Not worth the price due to service. Food was good but took over 1.5 hours to be served. Disappointed as sister restaurant Allard is superb.
Really extraordinary. The staff was amazing, engaging and helpful. A wonderful place for a memorable dinner.
Only bistro in Paris with a Michelin star. Stands virtually unchanged since it opened in 1912 and the cuisine is also on the rather traditional side. That said, this place offers food as our grandmother made it if she was a Michelin cook. Absolutely fabulous and a rare, rustique, decadent, and tasty journey down memory lane with Hercule Poirot and the Orient Express.
Run down place in the name of “traditional atmosphere”, no vibe, very limited choice menu with all dishes ridiculously expensive. Many better choices in gastronomic Paris, will not return
Everything was excellent. I haven’t got any negative comments. Book your table and choose the lunch menu for 39€. It’s only the food. No drinks included. A glass of wine is about 16-20€.

We had well behaved kids. The staff was very cordial and accepting but patrons were otherwise. I appreciate the staff being so nice but rather displeased that the patronage we’re trying to make us feel unwelcomed eating out lunch because our 19 month old was making a few baby noises(not crying and not being loud). We did enjoy the couple sitting next to us that commented how well our children were behaving.
Benoit has amazing food for a good prices, the staff is helpful and the atmosphere is comfy while still being fancier than most other restaurants.
Prelude gougeres too big and too heavy. Duck fois gras the least tasty and smooth I have had on this (my 24th) trip to France. Hugely overpriced scallop dish had no depth of flavor and was lukewarm. Profiteroles were too big to dunk in chocolate and the chocolate was not dark enough. We had three waiters who were charming but seemed inexperienced. The youngest was a real suck-up to me but totally ignored my dinner companion. We were also put in a little back room with all tourists which was commented on at more than one table. We had the kind of meal we expected at Benoit but it was at a charming little restaurant in Colmar (JY’s). We ate at Jules Verne last year and were pretty underwhelmed with their food too but the presentation and service were very professional. When we travel to France we are all about the food. Benoit was a disappointment.
We have made a point to visit 2x this year. Food was just average tonight, and service very lacking.
Very Parisian and the atmosphere was all we expected from a bistro in Paris. My meal was excellent as well as most of my families' meal. We had one or two plates that were average but the service and the overall experience was well worth the visit for my family and me. Highly recommended for families looking for a Michelin rated establishment.
