We had a real French meal. Escargot (Snails) was very very special, the Beef Tartare was superb, the fish soup was really delicate and the veal too. The tastes are wonderful. And for a desert - the chocolate gateaux is highly recommended. Enjoy.

We had fun , but I wasn’t too impressed by the staff , host and sommelier far too impressed with themselves . We also didn’t appreciate that they singled us out , NOT to receive the price fixe menu , Euros 39 for a 3 course meal . Instead , our lunch bill for two , one entree , two plats , one coke , and one tiny glass of wine came to 200 Euros . I wouldn’t return .

Service - the gentlemen who took our food order was obnoxious about the number of serves that is recommended for 3 pax. His attitude was nasty while pushing for us to order more food. On numerous occasions when we asked for steak to be done medium rare or explained that we would order additional items if it was not enough, he had mentioned “In France, we do not do that”. I travel frequently to Paris and know for a fact that that is not true. Service at other dining areas I have patronized are definitely a lot more understanding.

The lady who took our drink order asked if we would like wine with our lunch. When we rejected, we had caught her rolling her eyes. I do understand that wine pairing is common in France but is there absolutely no exception?

Food - the sauce on the ox cheek we ordered as part of the set was very salty. The fruit tart dessert that came with it was disappointing as well. Everything else did not leave a memorable impression.

This was our second time at Benoit and we loved it again. We were quite late for our reservation due to disruptions in the city but they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The restaurant service was also friendly and helpful. We will certainly return the next trip!

Soup for starter(was served cold By mistake and had to be sent back to be reheated) tasted amazing when it came the second time. Cheek for main cooked in wine sauce(one of the dishes that was served had a tough cut of meat, they offered us to change it but by that time we had shared the piece on my plate) otherwise it tasted so good.
Dessert was tarte of the day(just perfect, not too sweet not too bitter and crumbled in my mouth)
Overall, amazing experience and tasty wine, and i wouldn’t have mentioned the mistakes if it wasn’t listed as 1 Michelin star holder.

Service was prompt and friendly. Food was great! Very generous with the cheese puffs. I had 3 of those warm golden pockets - simply lovely. The crispy pork terrine was crispy on the outside with soft bits of pork knuckle on the inside. Superb with bread. The braised ox cheek in a pot was the highlight for me. The sauce is rich and bursting with flavour. I had the bread to wipe off the sauce from the plate. Too full by now to even finished the small macaroni pasta side. The savarin with Armagnac is just too much for me to finished. I tried but left a small bit behind. Then came the petit four and madeleines just before the check arrived. So much food - real good food. Thank you, Benoit!

For the past 15 years of visiting France Benoit has been my favorite Bistro for my first night in Paris. It sets the mood, it exemplifies the best of traditional French bistro dining: superb service, ambiance, and soul-satisfying food.

This is a very traditional and quaint location. Be prepared to speak to your neighbors as it doesn’t have much space. The bread and butter, well, I ate every piece. I know, the French do it better. The lunch menu is great value but also a good variety. The staff is very helpful and friend. They were very accommodating for my lack of French.

Food was good. It is unfortunate that the service was so atrocious. Water and wine were never refilled and when asked we were flipped significant attitude. For the price of the food I would expect at least courteous service. Will not return and would not recommend. It’s a shame.

We believed the quality of food was good but not the Michelin Star rated. Dish presentation was not there at all.. Wine was very good and also the desert. Overall, we think the restaurant was overpriced.

Dinner at Benoit was a very pleasant experience. The menu offered a range of selections and the food and service were excellent. The wine list was extensive but for the most part only had relatively expensive wines (e.g. over 100 Euros).
All in all a delightful dining experience.

We had high expectations, but unfortunately the food was quite ‘meeningless’ the first course was lobster salad (42€ pr. person) the vegetables was too cooked and not spiced at all- the main course was ok but again not for the price. One of the
deserts was great but the second was 3 scoops of ice at 14 €.

The place was noisy and the staff was polite but not professional as you could expect at a Michelin star restaurant. We needed to moove the table to get in and out from our seat- that’s how close they seet their guests.

The bill ended in 450€ - If the above had been as expected- we would gladly have payed that money, we have had better food and service in all the other restaurants we’ visited this year in Paris- and the bill’s was more like 100-150€ at these places.

Sorry to say- I cannot recommend this place.

We were seated at the back of the restaurant where all the other non Europeans sat. Another couple was upset and left and then after mains the manager asked if we were happy. We said yes as it was too late to change tables but interesting how we were all ushered to the dark back room whilst others with different skin tone to us sat in the nice front end of the restaurant where all the sunlight shines. Food was okay but they were annoyed as the menu was in French and they didn’t want to explain to us the dishes.
