About the restaurant BFire by Mauro Colagreco

B standing for Barrière, and Fire describing the house speciality, namely dishes cooked over a wood fire.
This new dining concept conceived by Mauro Colagreco for the Barrière group is inspired by his roots: Argentinian by birth, but from an Italian family, resulting in a beautiful culinary combination, with a menu that showcases seasonal products and a superbly executed style of cooking using a wood fire. The menu will change three times a year in line with the seasons, in so doing offering maximum variety and enabling guests to choose individual dishes as well as plates more suited for sharing.

Laid out in two separate spaces, BFire offers gourmet à la carte dining in its restaurant alongside a special beach menu available from the comfort of its sun-loungers.

BFire by Mauro Colagreco is an exclusive restaurant without precedent on the legendary Croisette, combining the conviviality of cuisine made for sharing with a fusion of Italian and Argentinian flavours.

The atmosphere is really nice: beach front, lights and sand, music and dancers.

I had requested a relatively quiet spot, not knowing that they had organized a music night all along.

The music was really good, a bit loud though, the musicians and dancers were very talented, and the show was worth it!

We started off with two cocktails that were tasty, and then ordered food.

Not that great, I had a risotto that wasn't really one: The rice was a basic Uncle Ben's cooked as you would do a non risotto at home.... It was a bit salty...
My friend's meal was apparently better: Chicken with mashed potatoes (I don't remember the fancy name they had for it on the Menu :p) . I reckon the potatoes were delicious :)
I had a desert, the presentation and the taste were amazing, their tarte au citron is really good!

The whole shabang costed about 144€ which i think is waaayyy too expensive for the quality of the food.
But given the cocktails and the music, i'd probably go back for the Apéro :)
