10/10An absolute hidden gem of a restaurant. Apart from the perfect location, in the historical center, close to the opera house, the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out. Then in addition to that, the food was superb. We choose the châteaubriand and it could not have been better. I can’t recommend this place enough.

9/10It is a cozy, warm restaurant. The bread delivered to the table is crispy and tasty. The butter served with it is full of garlic - yum! We started with the French onion soup. The broth had plenty of flavor and the soup was nice and very hot (thank you!). I could have used more of the tasty little croutons that was on top of the soup. I went with the farmers salad which was full of crispy cucumbers, tomatoes, salty feta, and some greens. A very fresh and flavorful salad. The bruschetta was also full of garlic, olive oil, and basil flavor. And I like the crispy toasts. The shrimp entree was large and delicious. The shrimp were tender and had so much garlic and butter. Wow. The shrimp cane with a baked potato (with some delicious sour cream on it), a salad, broccoli, and some hot and crispy French fries. Pretty great entree. We finished with some profiteroles. The cream puffs were crispy and the chocolate sauce not too sweet. Overall it was a fantastic meal.

9.5/10Very good authentic French bistro food. Well-prepared and well-presented by very charming owners, obviously a family-owned place, run with a lot of pride and charm. Very nice place. We did have a huge problem with the Fork's Yums discount for which I don't blame the owner. i intend to contact the Fork about this problem.

8.8/10I loved the place! It was unpretentious and friendly - warm. Nice French wine list which is important to me as a Francophile. It was one of my most pleasant discoveries in this wonderful city of Amsterdam.

Bistro Bonjour is one of the first French bistro's in Amsterdam. It was established in 1972 Amsterdam on the Keizersgracht. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance and an extensive menu that changes every season. During the cold winternights you are welcome to come in and have a romantic candlelight dinner. In the summer you can enjoy our terrace with a view on the Keizersgracht. Because Bistro Bonjour is located in the heart of Amsterdam it is an ideal way to spent an evening there when you are exploring the city. In case you have plans after dinner, such as a show in the Royal Theater Carré, we will make sure that you will arrive in time.
